L’accueil, emplacement au top pas loin de restaurants sympas et du marché local.
Propreté et calme.
Personnel très gentil et adorable surtout Panan àl’acceuil qui est le petit rayon de soleil de cet établissement.
L’hôtel a le service transport au port gratuit pour le retour.

Beach front
Strange attitude at reception. The receptionist wanted cash , then after 3 days rented our room out to another couple who were staying at the resort , despite us wanting to stay on.
We were offered a much less nice room .
When we tried to re book to return a few days later , the receptionist told as the hotel was full.
Yet when we went online we had no trouble booking a room. So we checked in , and found there was a number of empty rooms . Maybe they wanted empty rooms to to be available at exorbitant prices for the full moon party the following weekend .
In the 6 days we stayed at DaKanda , we saw no one who appeared to be a manager or supervisor . Only the receptionist and her assistant .
The dining area was very dirty . Rubbish piled up in a disused section .
We saw rats every night as our bungalow was behind the kitchen.
The restaurant waiters and kitchen staff were all from Myanmar, which now seems to be the case on the islands in the South of Thailand. They were friendly and cheerful.

the cleaner was very good and the receptionist very happy to see you and very helpful although it was a busy time and many people were checking in at once ! location was good and they ran a local shuttle for a few of 150 thb per person to the full moon which was good ! ,
property was a bit dated and probably needs updating but the price reflected this !

The Resort is wonderful. Very beautiful designed, directly at the wonderful flat beach, where you can do kite surfing or walk about 100m inside the ocean.
You couldn’t close the bath door, because it was broken. Because the bath window was a permanent open one, I had all the time problems with mosquitoes. That was really annoying

Staff was very friendly
The room wasn't very nice. It looked old with odd colors, the wifi wasn't great and the bed was not comfortable. I slipped in the bathroom on the floor and hurt my back. There was no bathroom mat.

The room was perfect for a family. Lovely and spacious. Had a table to eat if you wanted to bring market food home or have a game of cards. A little counter top and a couch. We did not feel cramped or on top of one another. Also a lovely patio. We could see the beach from our room. Very nice. We ate at the restaurant the first evening and the food was tasty. The best part about our stay was the two dogs that live there. Adorable and so gentle. They visited us daily. My boys adored them.
We also left fishing rods behind which the hotel found for us and kept safely until we returned which we really appreciated.
The hotel was going to collect us from the pier and did not. When we asked, the lady at the front desk was quite argumentative with us saying we had to call them even though we had prearranged it via message on booking.com. The beds were very hard and the pillows were terrible. Even my youngest son struggled to sleep on the bed it was so hard. I tried to order a cocktail from the menu (strawberry daiquiri- pretty standard) and was told they don’t have it. There is no shade at the pool area and very limited sun beds considering the size of the resort. The steps into the pool are also missing. It needs an upgrade. It was very windy during our stay, which made the beach a no go. I think it’s a naturally windy beach because they have a kite surfing Centre set up.

It was good value for money, the pool was nice and clean and the room was spacious with everything you needed. The location was also good. Some of the decor is a bit tired but for the money you pay everything else is great.

Very nice property, clean and practical room with a lovely pool.
The only thing we didn’t like is that the room we had had the window opened on the corridor, not outside which means very little light and privacy.

Staff were so friendly, we had a lovely room with good air con and nice surprise to have Netflix on the TV! Very clean, fresh water and towels for the pool. Pool was amazing and looked right onto the beach with sunbeds for both areas. Free lift back to the port too. Would 100% recommend.
We were a bit gutted we had to pay to use the pool table, felt like as we are guests it should have been free to use as it has been in previous accommodations for us.

The place looks great, great location right by the beach with kite surfing 1 minute walk away.
Room was spacious with a balcony, nice bathroom, staff are available to clean your room every day, you can have your clothes sent off to be cleaned for a small price.
The people working there are very kind and respectful, always have a smile. Especially the lady at the desk.
Recommend for anyone who’s coming to Phangan
Only thing would be the air con didn’t quite keep up and the food wasn’t outstanding. I’ve never been one to complain over nothing so I’ll give this place a 10/10

Lovely beach close by with sunbeds and the pool was a nice size and conveniently located in the centre. The pool gets direct sunlight so the water is warm.

The walk straight on to the lovely beach, pool was lovely and not to busy, room was excellent and had everything that you needed in it,

Disappointing, clearly was a lot better before covid, really sad to see. abandoned beach bar, rooms are dated and just needs a good brushing up and a few new lights.

Room was very nice, lovely shady balcony, beach towels available , free shuttle to the ferry , 5 minute walk to the food court, market, restaurants etc, staff at reception were friendly
The pool was green and cloudy so we didn’t get in which was a big shame. you can’t really swim at the beach (same for most beaches on the island I think) as it is very shallow so the pool was important to us .

The view from the room is marvelous
No wifi.. staff kept telling me they were going to fix it but nothing happened and I had to work from coffee shops throughout my entire stay... in terms of value for money this place is faaaaaaar from it

Great location with its own beach access and less than a 5 minute scooter ride into the main part of town.
Room was clean and spacious.
The bed mattress was very hard for my liking. But still slept okay :)
