An old, historic place . An excellent dinner.
The rooms were small, no regular shower

We loved our cabin and staying in this historic hotel. It was really cool to bathe in a wooden tub, however that may be hard for people with limited mobility. The breakfast was SO good and you could pack extra for your hikes in the area for lunch. We also paid for dinner there and the food was exceptional! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall we highly recommend and would stay here again!

This is a most unique property of highest quality and dedicated staff. A real experience in a high standard setting.
Its architectural uniqueness in highest quality and standards. And, don’t expect a tv in the room.

Lovely property with interesting history! our restored horse stall room was exceptionally clean and interesting in all the right ways. The main building was charming and comfortable.

The property was beautiful and had lots of history. The staff was very friendly and the dinner was delicious. We loved the wine barrel tub in the bathroom.
The breakfast was good but didn’t have a very wide range of options. For example, there were no “basics” like scrambled eggs or pancakes/waffles. Dinner was expensive and while the food was great, we were charged extra for nonalcoholic drinks like hot chocolate, which we felt should have been included given how expensive the room and dinner was.

The breakfast was amazing at Roisheim, and had us all set to climb in Jotunheimen NP! Great staff/hostesses! We also had dinner, which was delicious for the vegetarians, not so the "deer". Rooms are small and quaint, but this is a great, authentic restoration.
Our rooms were very cold when we arrived - no heat. They warmed quickly once we figured out how to run the warmers. It is a pricy stay, but we understand why. A "special".

Doesn’t seem to be much to eat for the one that doesn’t want to participate in their big and expensive dinner! Breakfast is ok.

Location.
During the evening meal was offered a glass of red desert wine of which we assumed was complimentary only to find out it cost 110 K the next morning when checking out. This is a bit naughty as paying for a set evening meal costing 700K.

Very unique hotel in 19th century inn (and a few transplanted historical buildings), excellent breakfast and excellent 4 course dinner, no tour groups, perfect location when traveling excellent Sognefjellet & Galdhøpiggen
