Stayed here for a wedding. Stayed the night before and the night of and it was just lovely! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It’s such a gorgeous countryside hotel and the food is amazing! Our room was so lovely with wooden beams on the roof just further adding to the rustic barn look.

Our room was located in one of the outbuildings and the only way we could access it was up a steel spiral staircase (like a fire escape stairs). Wasn’t too much of an issue but was a bit nervy getting up and down.

Hotel was a good location as we had spent the day at Calke Abbey, and need a room for one night only.

The hotel is on the airport flight path so quite noisy. Some lights in the room not working. Laminated warning signs balanced on the wash basin should be framed on the wall as you have to keep moving them around. Toilet roll holder falling off the wall. Judging by the gutters I could see from the room window, all filled with vegetation, I would say maintenance needs to be addressed at the hotel.

Work going on ,on the new carpark, so a bit noisy at my time of stay. WiFi in room a bit hit and miss

the surroundings and grounds were lovely. The staff were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

There was a lot of noise overnight due to planes and work on the grounds started very early in the morning.

Friendly staff and nice room. The venison sausages from the local deer park were delicious!
