Beachy Rise is perfectly located for The Downs and Eastbourne. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast of my choice was very good and nice fresh coffee too. I was only visiting for one night, and on my own, so Beachy Rise suited me perfectly as a safe and comfortable place to stay with easy access by car to everywhere I needed to go to in Eastbourne. Useful to note though is that parking around the house is limited d to 2 hours between 8 and 6 so without a parking permit you would not be able to leave the car all day at the location. I would happily stay again and would reccomend.
I forgot o mention to the host that the shower runs to hot and cold on the setting and didn’t seem possible to control. The hose is kinked at the end by the shower head which possibly affects flow but anyway it’s was a case if dodging the very hot and then cold water and trying to find the bit i between in which to wash.

Cosy, family-run accommodation in a residential area close to the coastal walk and not far from the city centre. We also enjoyed the good English breakfast.

The mattress was too soft on one of the twin beds. Other than that, lovely room with a view!

Excellent breakfast, peaceful with a pleasing attention to detail to ensure guests’ needs were well-catered for.
Good location for enjoying Meads, with its excellent pubs and useful shopping area. Also for exploring Beachy Head, a short drive away.
We were fortunate to find a parking place in a quiet road nearby - this may not be so easy in high season.

A kind welcome and beautifully warm on a freezing cold night. Accomodation comfortable and peaceful.
Suzanne and family were very friendly, breakfast was good with a varied menu. Near shops, pubs and restaurants and a short walk to the beachfront.

The room was clean and comfortable, and big enough for one night. Breakfast was good. The location was nice, our room looked over the back garden, and it was quiet overnight. The beds were OK, and we slept reasonably well. Parking was on the street, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot right outside.
The shower room was clean but small and with very little water pressure. The television was small and awkwardly placed so couldn't be seen very well from the far bed. The very large wardrobe didn't help.

This was an excellent example of English guesthouse hospitality. Better than the more expensive hotel stayed in on the previous nights. Great welcome and a very good breakfast. Standard of decoration in the bedroom was exceptional. Quiet.
The legs might object to the stairs in a few years' time! Very limited street parking when returning later in the evening.

Lovely friendly reception and tastefully decorated room, warm, well-equipped. Host was kind enough to make me a vegan full English, which felt like fantastic value for money. Also loved the dog!
One of the beds seemed a little bit unsteady on its legs, but not to a dangerous extent.

Professional, friendly people, excellent food, comfortable room in traditional seaside village building of culture, friendly village feel very near seafront and Beachy Head where you feel safe and welcomed. Personal feel with high standards to enjoy traditional bed and breakfast at its finest.

Excellent breakfast nothing to much trouble. The room was very good and clean could not fault anything always perfect when we arrived back from our days out. Our host was very helpful and knowledgeable about the areas around Eastbourne. Nice and quiet just as we like it close to all amenities so ideal.
There was nothing about this Guest House to dislike very helpful host every thing we were looking for.
