Staff were lovely and very accommodating. The hotel is beautifully appointed and looks great, but it did have its issues. the staff did change our room for us. and tried to help out as much as they could. short walk to the beach and seafood restos.

the internet went in and out. the tv didnt work half the time, even tho the staff fixed it for us twice. huge room but nowhere to put anything. the shower was terrible - weak and not very hot.

property is a bit old and needs renovation. Does not seem like a 5 star more like 3.5

pools were sad, property was old. but the service was excellent which made up

Great hotel and really good value for money. Staff is super kind and the room we had was so large and with great facilities. Would definitely recommend!

The people is absolutely amazing and caring, always prepared to help in every circunstance. The breakfast has many choices, all of them very tasteful and complete. The space is very confy and nature friendly. We love the inside gardens and the pools. The room was big and well prepared with everything needed to relax and enjoy.

In the room, we heard a background AC noise during the night, but nothing too loud.

Massage service ends too early at 6pm which was our arrival time to the hotel.

We stayed in one of the 4 Villas at the rear. The Villa and furnishings were absolutely beautiful. Very spacious room. The breakfast was good, sometimes A’La Carte other times Buffet. Not extensive but sufficient and tasty. The staff here were excellent and extremely friendly. 5 Star no but a nice place. The Bulls Head Steakhouse just down the road is well worth a visit. Thanks again to all the staff.

The hot water was very hit and miss and will hopefully be rectified. The pool needs some maintenance expertise and loving.

The staff are very nice and the location is only a 5 mins from the beach. We stayed in the duplex villa which was spacious and pool was right outside which was very convenient.

There is work being done so can be noisy at times, the hotel is not fully opened as some of the amenities are closed. It can do with a clean in certain areas when you access the restaurants from the hotel as it is quite dusty. I was not too impressed with the beach club as it looks worn out and should be updated. The towels I got had been used and were damp when I questioned this they did get some new towels from the hotel - need to upgrade on the hygiene front. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel - I would at a push rate this at a 3.5 star hotel.

after being closed for 2 years, the resort only reopened recently and is running at limited capacity. Booking.com should have done a better job when taking on such listings. if I had known the situation there, I would have made other choices. also the price that Booking.com provided is just ridiculous, it has really failed users’ trust when finding the best price. the issues including: no credit card facility; severe ceiling mound in the spa section; kitchen only serves breakfast, and coffee machine broke down; first night shower has no pressure; the beach club is run down

Amazing staff, delicious odor in all places and personal attention made our stay totally pleasant. And I loved the room we stayed in. The interior was very cozy, quality and the room was very spacious by itself. Can't wait to come back!

The service was great. All the staff was so friendly. The massage and spa was great.

I didnt like jimbaran. Been to canguu, sanur and ubud and that was better for us.

Staff is super friendly and helpful; always smiling and ready to make your stay a great one. The spa is fabulous and the main reason for me choosing to stay here and it certainly made my day.

The location is a bit hard to find by people unfamiliar to the area; but I guess this not the hotel's fault. It is close enough to malls; but very far away from Ubud and attraction at that side of the island so keep that in mind if you intend to do a lot of sightseeing.

WARNING…DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! READ BEFORE BOOKING…Kupu Kupu "appears" to be a cute boutique hotel in Jimbaran with friendly staff that treat you like family. However, this is not what it is like! First, the photos are not what they seem. The hotel is located in a mall with multiple restaurants and a convenience store. There are so many amazing hotels minutes from the beach and half the price. Don't ever pay for Kupu Kupu….you deserve better when traveling to Jimbaran. To be honest, all of the aesthetics wouldn’t matter to me if the management team went out of their way to help you. Unfortunately, the manager (Mr. Yves) of this hotel does not treat his guests with kindness and isn't even available in case of emergencies.

MY HORROR STORY AT KUPU KUPU….I'm a young female traveling with my baby sister. We were planning on staying at the hotel for 5 nights until we got kicked out on the 3rd night, because we rescued a puppy that was dying on the side of the road. We were driving back from the beach and noticed a 1 month old puppy (5 lbs) that was bleeding, starving, and dehydrated. We immediately brought the puppy to the veterinarian and got her a full check up (vaccinations, cleaned, medication, and food/water). The vet explained to us that she could of died any day if it wasn't for us taking her in. Unfortunately, the vet couldn’t keep her overnight because they were at capacity and asked us to watch the dog for a night and bring her back in the morning. We took the puppy without even thinking of hotel policies. Neither of us had seen a sign saying 'no dogs allowed'. (turns out there is 1 small sign as you walk into the hotel, but it was covered by NYE decorations- see photos). The house keeping came into our hotel room around 6pm and noticed the puppy. We got back from dinner at 11pm. This is when the hotel staff told me that we either have to leave the hotel or leave the puppy on the street. I was shocked and frustrated!
