Impressive breakfast buffet. Nice foot bath on back terrace.
Their onsen is Not tattoo friendly. However a mile out of town is a tattoo friendly onsen at Hoheikyo Hot Spring, accessible by public bus.

Good location with good tatami room and cost effective hot spring hotel
Wish that we can have more English speaking hotel staff and can provide better communication with non Japanese speakers

buffet style breakfast and dinner were good taste and quality
I know it’s old hotel, but I think they should try to remodel some part of a room

Great location, and the onsen was amazing. I loved the variety of baths. The outdoor bath has a good view of the mountains. I loved the shampoo bar because there were a lot of options! I also enjoyed the Birch Terrace foot bath. The breakfast had a lot of great options, and I got a beautiful seat by the window. I didn’t go to the restaurant or lounge, but they looked like a lot of fun.
These weren’t a problem, but something so consider when booking. The beds in the twin rooms at least are fairly hard, so I would want to try the Japanese style rooms. The rooms are a little dated - I couldn’t see a usb plug to charge my devices like a lot of other hotels have. The breakfast hour ends very early, probably because checkout is at 10, not 11. Breakfast can also get very crowded because it is buffet style.

They are at the best location, the staffs are super helpful and friendly. Like the spa area and the restaurant food so yummy, everything is so good and clean.
Every time when I go back to my room, will feel very down because everything are so old, the chair very old, the sofa very old, even the bed and blanket also very old. Everything like already used many years. When I staying inside my room that time I feel I am in a very low cost old hotel.

Good hotel, good onsen, helpful staff, good room view, good dinner and breakfast buffet...
But extremely difficult to book the hotel bus from Sapporo station to hotel, not even the return bus journey at hotel counter because full...

Good and relaxing Onsen facilities. Free dessert wine and morning sake in the lobby during our stay was a warm touch especially in the winter. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Food taste in buffet was not very good although the expansive selection was excellent. Restaurant staff were very friendly.
The futon in Japanese room futons were very flat. After sleeping one night we all got very bad back aches. The staff (housekeeper and front desk) were very helpful and accommodating to double up the futons which helped.

dinner place full without reservation during christmas

Onsen is good, buffet breakfast and dinner was good (mixed Japanese and western cuisine), lobby fireplace and gift shop are good.
Front desk charged me 6600Yen for a missing second room key that they didn't me in the first place and refused to accept that it had not been issued to me. Missed our bus to the ski resort as a result. Very poor.

The breakfast has many selections and well set up.
The view from breakfast is great, too. Especially this time of the year, beautiful falls.
I like the izakaya in the hotel too. Being Vegan at the moment still has some choices in the menu.
Appriciated it.
Check In process took a bit long, not sure if the staff is new but she is polite and helpful.
To drive into the drop off area is quite traffic.
The hotel is quite aged. At least should change the carpet.....

Thr aircon in my room did not function well.
