Location!!! Room had amazing views. Food was exceptional... Restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. Friendly staff.

The hotel is sited spectacularly high above Como but only a 30-second stroll from the Fenicular railway that takes you directly into the city centre. The restaurant and terrace overlook the magnificent view. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was characterful with a modern bathroom, a good combination! The food at breakfast and at dinner (worth booking) was superb. Considering we booked this last minute because another hotel cancelled I feel like we came up trumps!

The only issue was the lack of air-conditioning in the room. I imagine there are a number of reasons for this (environmental, the age and nature of the building) but it is worth being aware of as it was difficult to ventilate the room at night – the shutters were solid (not louvred) so one could not close them and have air movement, the alternative was being woken by the sun rather earlier than desired. It is not as hot high up above Como as it is down by the lake but even at the start of September it is warm through the night.

A lovely old house on top of a mountain. The views of Lake Como were incredible. Food was wonderful. Highly recommended. We sat on the balcony watching the sun set over the mountains in the perfect location.

Amazing views. Charming rooms with character. Both dinner and breakfast were fantastic and the staff were so friendly. Very happy with our stay here and will recommend to others.

The staff was friendly, kind and social. The hotel was picturesque of another era. The view was incredible. The breakfast was excellent and on the terrace with a mountain view of Lake Como. We would definitely look forward to another visit in the future.

Calling the views of Como “stunning” don’t do them Justice. If you stay here, you must get dinner at the hotel restaurant. Window views were also spectacular from the rooms.

More instructions on the use of the rail, or some kind of pre reservation or cab from the hotel, would have been nice. The line was quite long.

The view! The view is incredible. We had the Lake-View Junior Suite. I highly recommend paying extra for the suite. We sat on the balcony every evening looking the city lights. The hotel is very close to the funicular so Como city is very easy to access. I loved that the hotel was away from the busy city. Atmosphere at the hotel was very calm. Also the hotel restaurant is very high quality.

Food was amazing. We ate at the hotel restaurant both nights. The service was amazing. With such a small and old building I expected the room to be a little uncomfortable. I was impressed with how big and nice the room was.

Amazing hotel with wonderful views and great service. The food is delicious and the wine list is perfect. The atmosphere teleported you into the early twentieth century! I will definitely visit again!

when we arrived it was no warm water and heating, but it was repaired within one day. so it is more positive about great proper reaction of the hotel staff

Bellavista indeed! At the top of the funicolare route in Brunate, a small and cosy hotel with magnificent view to the lake. The restaurant is excellent and the hospitality is great! We’ll love to come again!

If coming by car, streets are very narrow and the route is demanding
