Location close to Lepanto metro station, close to places of interest such as the Vatican 10-15 min, comfortable, clean, good price
A restaurant for breakfast would be nice.

Staff was very friendly, rooms had excellent AC for the July Rome heat. Spacious rooms for 2 people.
Could do with more cleaning, we found some hair in the drain prior to using the shower.

Friendly staff, clean room, near walking distance to everything we wanted to see and needed.

Only the location , as it was next to metro station.
It was a last minute booking as we only needed a place to saty for one night, got in at 11 pm had to leave in the morning at 9 am.
And even for this short stay it was an awful experience.
The room was really dirty, dusty, and dated. AC didn't work, thankfully the window offered fresh air although to open the window you had to get pass the dirty, insect filled curtain.🤢
The beds and sheets were dirty, as were the floors and chairs. Only thing that we didn't find stains on were the towels.
Overall for the price and the 3 star rating , it was awful, unpleasant, uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend it even for a single day stay.

Every time I went to Rome I used to stay in this hotel. Great location, nice rooms for the price. However, this was the last time. It seems that the quality of the hotel is just deteriorating. The bed was old shabby, and there was mold in the bathroom. While booking I haven't noticed that they don't serve breakfast anymore, but as I asked a guy at the reception about it, I got a very attitude-filled answer that they never served it. I told him it was not true since I still had it during my stay in 2021. Apparently the bar part of the hotel is now a separate restaurant which has live music on Fridays. We were unlucky to have a room close to it so it seemed that the musicians were in the room. It was extremely loud at least till half past 11 pm. All this for 200 EUR per night? Not worth it, sorry.

It served our purpose, we were there to spend just one night only, it has comfortable bed where we could take nap. Reception manager was nice and could speak in English well.
Room was small in size and there was no intercom or telephone in the room to connect with reception area. bathroom is very small and water spills out on floor frequently. When we checked in we were told that tap water is not drinkable but there was no provision for bottled water in room. we had to purchase drinking water seperately at very high cost.

The best experience I had in San Valentino was the elderly receptioniest who would let us in at night. He had a genuine smile and a very welcoming energy.
the other receptionists were not so welcoming unfortunetely. the room was moist and a bit smelly.

Everything was great - actually surprised at how perfect the location is. It’s super close to Via Rienzo, the best shopping street in Rome. Close to the Vatican, metro station and cafes and restaurants that aren’t overflowing with tourists. We booked last minute and went for “value” and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The young men working the front desk were very nice and very professional.
We just wished we had time to try the breakfast but we had a plane to catch!

I had been traveling with a group from California..but I got sick and needed to leave the tour and get well. I found Hotel San Valentino online. It was an easy reservations..the location of the hotel was a benefit...the staff were friendly. helpful... the weather was warm.. and AC was being repaired... I asked for a fan and staff immediately provided one for me. I never had the housekeeping come into my room, but they always provided me with toilette paper and fresh towels when I asked. On the day I left the morning staff were helpful finding a cab...when i arrived staff was helpful with a map of finding places to visit.
I wish the ac was working, but I survived..there is a gym behind the hotel of my room... only on one night did the noise bother me, but for only a few hrs...small inconvenience. otherwise very quiet...slept like a baby every night...
