Staff very helpful in organising a gathering of 27 people.

Conservatory out of action which meant we had to be in the function room.

there was a Fire Alarm at 9:50 that woke us up and I was not happy about that.

The price was good,bed was huge and comfy

shower didn’t turn off easily and kept dropping but it is going to be refurbished

Located just above the restaurant, this hotel wasn't short of anything exceptional. During the evening, I nipped downstairs, went for a pint and just 1 minute away, was able to access my room. The next morning we were relatively late to breakfast, our own stupidity not checking the breakfast timings. Fortunately, their staff were able to accomodate our breakfast needs and draft us up an amazing all day breakfast - A breakfast that I can compare to ambrosia, the food of the gods. I’d highly recommend it to anyone. (Bonus points for the sausages!)

At some point during the late evening, it got a little rowdy downstairs. Understandable due to its location above a restaurant.

Firstly when i booked this with Booking.com the price was £261 after i booked, you suddenly wanted another £20 ,Which is fine as long as everything you promise on you advert is true, supposed to be free wi fi but there was NONE at all while we were there, so i think you owe me £20 as i could not access it for my work.

Rooms are clean and spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding so much choice. Evening meals are really nice and good value for money. Staff are lovely will do anything for you. I will be now using this as my place to stay for work trips.

I was on the ground floor of the out building and the sound proofing is not great. Need to install the soft close on the main doors to stop them banging when people leave rooms and the transfer of noise through ceilings is quite loud. The Wifi on the ground floor was non existent in comparison to my previous week where I was on the 1st floor and it was absolutely fine. Next time I will be asking for a 1st floor room to avoid the noise.

The quiz in the bar was great.

The bed was quite uncomfortable The portion size for dinner was quite small for the price.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was fine for a 1 night stay for a wedding close by. The breakfast was okay.

The bathroom needed upgrading, there was a horrible drain smell in there.

No busses on a Sunday and was hard to book a taxi into Selby.
