The self catering aspect.
Spaciousness of the property - lovely!
Country location.
Being in the middle of a working farm suited us.
Nothing of great importance.
Some microwave cookware would be useful.

It's such a beautiful setting! The cottage was just stunning and spacious! Lovely friendly and helpful owner, just an amazing stay all round! Will be booking again!
The water was so soft and refreshing to have no limescale in it!!!! (So ignore any previous review regarding the water not being drinkable!!!) Mum couldn't stop drinking it, lol.
We were all thrilled with the place/setting. We couldn't fault it.
The kitchen facilities are well equipped, and the kitchen itself was humongous!
The lounge area, again, was huge! We didn't get to use the log burner as the whole place was lovely and warm (we thought it had under floor heating!) Especially the first night we arrived it was so cold outside yet inside it was lovely and toasty!!
The beds were so comfortable and we all slept better than at home!
We loved being in the centre of the farm with the sights, sounds, and smells just ideal!!!
All in all, we were glad to get back to the cottage each night, with having a difficult time dealing with a family issue during the days, it was like coming home to a retreat of peace and comfort. Thank you!

Really well equipped. Great layout. Perfect to have two bathrooms. We only used it to sleep in but would have made a great base to do day trips from.

the beds were aweful. every time I rolled over it woke my parter up in the other single bed.

The cottage was much bigger than expected as the description did not do it justice.
It was clean and tidy with a nice small outside area.
The view from the lounge and one bedroom was lovely and we saw some great sunrises. The cottage was always warm and comfortable.
We arrived earlier than instructed due to traffic not being as busy as expected and didn't get a very good welcome.
The access to the cottage was not clear but we got there in the end. I felt as though we were a bit of an inconvenience and there was a mis communication about the provision of a cot and high chair. I had received an email with regards to the bed arrangements and responded to the email but it would appear that this was either not received by the owner or not read, I am unsure which. This led to a hostile reception from the owner when she brought the high chair.
The cottage was on a working farm which is fine but it would have been nice to be given an opportunity to let my 2 grandchildren see the animals, I was too afraid to ask after the reception we got.
The fridge is in the wrong place, surely it would be better placed in the kitchen and we felt more bins were needed especially in the bedrooms or lounge.
We enjoyed our stay as it is nice to be away from the home environment but it was in a very remote location with very little within walking distance.

Absolutely loved the interior, with so many interesting features and bespoke items of furniture and decorative items. Spacious rooms and private outdoor area backing onto fields of cows, sheep and a horse, with visiting birds, bats, butterflies and other wildlife.
The mile long track from the road to the property could do with a bit of attention as the 10mph speed limit is wishful thinking in some places!

We had butterfly cakes waiting for us and the cottage itself was beautifully clean.
I can't think of anything that would have made my stay even better.
