I had a really good time there! The most attractive advantage of this hotel is its onsen. I have been sleeping in few hotels with access to onsen, but this one was the best! Also I loved the common room with tivi, where you could relax and had some drinks from automat. The price was affordable. Hotel is located close to the railway and bust station. However it was quite far to the city center but we were going on foot in Kanazawa

The check in started at 14. We were at 1325 and still we had to wait until the time. I was disappointed because usually in most hotels that i visited they were letting us in before time, but no in Japan xd

Public Baths

Onsen in the hotel is very nice, it has laundry room, milk at vending machine. clothes fit a non asian person. I also had a nice view as my room was high up.

Hotel is old. Room unlocks with a key. There is very old style tv in the room. I think this is justified by the price range.

Hotel is conveniently located near the JR station. Wi-Fi worked without issues for online calls. Friendly staff.

The rooms are on the smaller side of Japanese hotel rooms. It was difficult to place two cabin size suitcases and impossible to keep them open. So we had to open and close back all the time.

The onsen is free and very relaxing. They give you a free late night meal.

The staff at this hotel were so accommodating although we seemed the only foreigners. They were kind and helped us with checkin , extra blankets and an iron. It’s so close to the station, had two huge singles pushed together and the room was large for Japan. Public bath was also an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Great location. 6 min walk to Kanazawa station. This was extremely helpful when we were running late for our shinkansen reservations. Check out was as simple as dropping off the keys in a box and walking away. Hotel facilities were very clean and neat. Staff was helpful with luggage drop off and checking in/out. Hotel was decorated nicely with large windows that showed the green gardens outside. Pajamas and slippers were provided to wear during our stay at the hotel. Toiletries provided in baskets at the front desk. The public onsen was great! Lockers were provided to keep your stuff, instructions were provided for new users, and there were indoor and outside onsens for both men and women. The men's side was quite crowded. I went at 530 AM and there were already 10 other men there, with more incoming. Everyone kept to themselves and got in and out. My wife says the women's side was the opposite and it was nice and quiet so she enjoyed it quite a bit. The Japanese breakfast was mediocre. Western breakfast was better. I'm glad they offered the choice though. Overall, 10/10 would stay again even with the small double rooms.

The double room was actually very small. There are no closets or wardrobes. We made it work, but just mentioning it here for others who are considering it. This is actually the only "bad" thing about the hotel.

Location was convenient to the station. The spa bath and steam room were nice.

Had to pay a little over ¥10,000 in cash at check in for the city hotel tax. It would have been good to know that ahead of time. We arrived at 1:56pm and were told to wait in the lobby because check in starts at 2pm. This hotel is part of a regional chain and they seem very rule-bound.

Too small for big luggages

I wish I stayed longer! This is a lovely hotel with an excellent indoor / outdoor public bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I felt very relaxed staying at Kanazawa Manten Hotel. Kanazawa train station is a block away where you can hop on the tourist loop bus. I will definitely return!

Free luggage storage before check-in. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The public bath was large and clean, there are also an outdoor tub and a sauna. Coin laundry with 4 washing machines and 4 dryers. The room was not large, but it was very clean and there were all the amenities. You can choose between western or japanese style breakfast. The hotels is a 5-minutes walk from JR Kanazawa station.

Room size is regular size in Japan. Good breakfast and Onsen. Locate in quiet place nearby JR train station.

Very good location near the station. Availing the breakfast is highly recommended! I really love it and it becomes the highlight of my stay in the hotel. Nice view too on the restaurant where the breakfast is being served, especially that it is autumn time during my stay. Also, the public bath is great! I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kanazawa. :)

Pillow so thick and uncomfortable that gives me headache and neck pain. I rolled my cloths to make a pillow in the end to have a good night sleep.

It's a western styled hotel with a public bath/onsen. So it has all the amenities/facilities that you'd expect. Good bed, shower/toilet/towels/pajama's/fridge/small tv etc. etc. But having the public bath is by far it's biggest selling point (at least it was for me!) It's very relaxing after a long day of walking. Absolutely incredible! Location's very good too. it's like <5min walk from central station so it is very easy to get to and drop your bags and to leave from when you move onto a different city/location. They got coin lockers to store your bags too (you get the coin back.)
