Great friendly staff, excellent service, lovely food, very clean

Very friendly staff. Our room was lovely and cosy and spotless.
Our dinner and breakfast was lovely and tasty.
The hotel is remote. 5 km to the nearest town. Our first morning the shower ran out of hot water.

Pay at reception and not in advance. We'd paid for 2 night last weekend, my wife was sick so we had to cancel. I rang the property to let them know. Then I sent an email asking would the be a partial refund even(I know it's probably a case of too bad,but hey why not ask). So I haven't received a response from my email. I'm just curious now as to whether a partial refund would be given. I'll update this in a few days and just see how they deal with such and incident. But to save hassle, never pay in advance. Lesson learned

Bedroom - Beds uncomfortable, telephone not operational, noisy & very slow filling toilet cistern, poor shower pressure, light weight bath under foot when showering, noise of traffic and weather during the night due to old windows.

Great running trail options around the area, beds were comfy, and water pressure in the shower was great! Food in the bar was superb!

Everything! Such a comfortable bed, great food, friendly staff, spotlessly clean, it was phenomenal from check in to check out. I can't wait to go back.
I'd be hard pushed to find something I didn't like! The only thing I can think of is that none of the staff had name badges...and that's all.
