The size of the house and it felt like a holiday home away from home. All the amenities were available. Beds galore . Blankets to cater for sitting om the stoep even with a howling wind . Was 👍 fantastic

One of the visitors did not like the wooden floor between levels. But nobody else thought it was a problem

The property is spacious so you’re able to balance privacy while still getting away in a group. It’s easily accessible yet secure. Checking in and out is easy and seamless.

There aren’t any negatives about the property, but maybe some items can be clarified prior to booking already. For example - indicating “beachfront” usually means the beach is easily accessible from the property itself. In this case, the beach can be accessed by a path on a nearby road and there are houses in between. Items such as shower gel, soap etc are not included. This would be useful to know before or at the point of booking. The hosts did inform us about not having wifi (unless purchased) or DStv. Something like wifi tends to be a standard offering, maybe just include it in the cost of the stay regardless instead of offering to purchase on the side? A list of nearby restaurants would be great to have, especially as places close so early. Fynbos Estate provides a menu that you can actually take away.

I liked that even with loadshedding we could still cook and was not in complete darkness. I am inlove with the coziness and decor. The house had everything we needed: Appliances, heaters, blankets, crockery and cutlery etc

I missed the table that was on the balcony. The outdoor braai area would be nice if it was covered to protect from all weather conditions

We had a lovely and pleasant stay at Rustic Beach House. Spacious and very clean house. Close to beach. The most beautiful nature views from the house. All out expetations were met. Thank you.

The social/dining/balcony area is wonderfully set up for enjoying time together as family. Beautiful views, sunny and comfortable chill out areas throughout. Location is near enough for a quick walk to the beach. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and kind. They helped sort out any issues that cropped up very quickly. They were also kind enough to accommodate our late timing as we have a large family with four very young toddlers n kids. So we greatly appreciated their flexibility. The home is clean and beautiful, and truly has a fresh beach house feel & touch.

This is not the owners fault at all nor within their control but the neighbor's alarm kept going off throughout the stay.

The house was really nice, clean and close to the beach. Views were also great although hindered by a huge dune and some houses. All 4 bedrooms were nice, clean and tidy. Welcome chocolates were a lovely surprise. Heaters were a nice touch as the weather wasn't great and the house was very cold.

Kitchen items could be upgraded. Small things were irritating viz. mismatched wine and champagne glasses, 2 coffee capsules for 4 people (although we were told they'd leave a few so bring your own, could have at least left 4), no placemats for kitchen table, etc. Also no fireplace inside, it was pouring buckets outside so no way we could make a fire in the outside firepit. Bathrooms need a bit of an upgrade. Overall, not a bad place. Just needs a loving touch.

Just a short stroll to the beach with 360° views of the mountain and ocean. The house was very cozy and perfect for a quite getaway from everyday life.

You see the beautiful pictures but if you arrive you see the love in every detail. It is so beautiful and perfect to stay there, just loved every second of our stay.

If you are looking for peace and quiet with beautiful views this cottage is just for you. It is in close walking distance from the beach and you can hear the waves breaking on the beach at night. It has sea and mountain views. We loved our stay there and will definitely be back

The location

It has no mirrors in the Bedrooms so you can style your hair. We tried the upstairs bed first and it was extremely uncomfortable. the second night we slept on a bed downstairs which was OK but short for a tall person and the showerheads are very low for a tall person. The house needs a proper clean as the cabinets doors and fridge in the kitchen were grubby. There are also thick layers of dust on a lot of the deco items and the bottom shelves in the bedrooms as well as the shows are starting to mold. The wooden shelving in the upstairs bathroom is not for practical from from the space that you were taking away from the shower and also the paint is flaking off it. The couches in the lounge area are extremely uncomfortable. The portable lamps were not fully charged and one Did not function properly Which we discovered as we had load sharing on Saturday night. There was no lighter to light the candles either so quite difficult for a non-smoker. Overall however if you are there to rough it up then this is definitely a place for you however it was not well-suited for us. If you don’t mind the feeling that this is someone’s holiday home earning extra cash on the side then it’s fine but if you want a place that you feel it is used only for holiday then this might not be for you. The owner is very accommodating and very friendly so 10 out of 10 for her.

So many things we liked - having space for a group as in outside balcony / loads of couches & seating everywhere & a lovely big table to eat at & play games. Added bonus being able to bring our dog - safe enclosed garden.

Lovely, clean home totally geared up for relaxing and comfort. Everything you could want or need (including generoussized mugs and plenty of glasses!). The location was amazing - right by the beach as promised. We loved the fold back doors and the mountain views and the endless day bed opportunities to kick back with a book. This house tells you to relax! Honestly there was nothing to fault here (maybe throw in an extra dish towel?). The price was steep for us, but that probably us not the house! Highly recommend it.
