'What did you like?' ... What didn't I like?? First of all, Saman fixed us a ride from Wilpattu to Sigiriya on short notice. Throughout our stay he fixed our transportation many times for a fair price, even early in the morning. He gave us helpful tips and when we wanted to extend our stay because we liked it so much, he fixed us another great hotel since he was fully booked. Saman's wife was also super kind and helpful + prepared a great breakfast! And their son was amazingly sweet and helpful as well. The location was incredible as we were super close to both rocks (why else would you be in Sigiriya?). The place looks very nice as well and is away from the road - so no noise. The whole experience was great for us, nobody pushed us into doing or buying anything - but we were guided towards our own needs and wishes. My girlfriend and I definitely recommend Sigiri Saman Home Stay 100%, and we would gladly stay again at this very welcoming and kind family.

We had a warm welcome at this home stay and got everything explained and organised for the duration of our stay. They are so friendly and helpful! The home stay is located in beautiful green surroundings and is very calm and quiet. A comfortable and spacious room and a delicious breakfast. All that within walking distance to town for bars and restaurants and to the main sightseeings.

It was absolutely perfect! There was nothing we didn't like.

Saman und seine Familie waren sehr nett und äusserst hilfsbereit. Saman hat mir auf dem Motorrad etwas von der Gegend gezeigt und sein Sohn hat mich nach Kandy (mit Abstecher nach Dambulla) gefahren. Ebenfalls habe sie für mich das Zugticket von Kandy nach Ella organisiert. Top Service! Würde sofort wieder kommen! Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker - ein Traum.

Beautiful rooms with large bed, fridge, hairdryer - such a treat! They also have a beautiful dog and hammocks in the garden. Very peaceful.

Super friendly host family! The breakfast was amazing! The location is very good to visit lions rock and Pidurangala. The host is a tourist guide and can explain you the history of lions rock on their couch. He can also organise Safaris and many other activities. It‘s worth to stay here more days!

Прекрасный сад. Домик на два номера с террасой. Все ухожено и чисто. Чайник и фен. Постельное приятное и свежее. Очень приятное жилье. До ресторанчиков и поворота на сигирию - 300метров. Хозяин - очень воспитанный мужчина. Дружелюбный и внимательный. Завтрак в ланкийском стиле и просто превосходен.

This stay was really great. They picked us up from the train station in Habarana. The room was large and spacious with a huge bed. The hosts were really accommodating offering advice on where to eat, and what to visit during our stay. The breakfast was massive offering a great selection of Sri Lankan cuisine. Additionally they drove us to Kandy and dropped us off at some cool places. Overall, really enjoyable stay.

Pathway to property is very dark at night. It may be worth investing in some solar lighting/path lighting at night. It is worth noting that they offered head torches to accommodate.

Amazing first stay in Sri Lanka , very welcoming friendly family . Praneet picked us from the airport and gave us lots of information during the journey . He also took us 5am to climb pidurangula rock as we couldn’t find a tuk tuk . Saman was very helpful with things to do and booking us a taxi to our next destination. Fair prices . Also a lovely breakfast. Room big and clean . Plenty of hot water for shower . Lovely peaceful balcony saw monkeys and peacocks and squirrels in the garden . Few minutes walk to restaurants . Een fijn verblijf, op loopafstand van de restaurantjes en Lion’s Rock. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. We zouden eigenlijk maar een nacht verblijven, maar door de regen konden we geen activiteit ondernemen. Het was echter geen probleem om er een nachtje aan toe te voegen. Ook heeft Saman wat dingen aangeraden in de omgeving en handige tips gegeven. Al met al een goede keuze voor je verblijf in Sigiriya.

Het was erg vochtig in de kamer, maar dat kwam door de vele regen en doordat je midden in de jungle zit. Ook liep het water van de douche de slaapkamer in. Maar niks om je echt druk over te maken.

Tout, super emplacement à 3 minutes à pied des restaurants et 10 minutes du Rocher du lion. Laundry Service Dans la nature, on a pu voir Caméléon, Hibou, écureuils, dans son jardin. Très serviable ils nous à tout organiser (TukTuk, Taxi, excursions vers Dambulla, Polonnâruvâ…) à bon prix! Petit déjeuner copieux et très bon! On y a passer 4 nuits. Merci encore

Las instalaciones, aunque sencillas, cuentan con todo lo necesario. Estuvimos tres noches alojados en este home stay y Saman nos ayudó a organizar todas las actividades en la zona (safari para ver elefantes, visita a Polonnaruwa, clase de cocina). Se puede ir andando hasta la roca del León y la calle principal. Pedimos el servicio de transfer desde Negombo y fue genial! El hijo de la familia, Praneeth, fue nuestro conductor y por el camino paramos a ver el templo de Dambulla. El desayuno está buenísimo ☺️

Lovely place with great people. The staff is super nice, the owner tried to get us a TukTuk to the hiking place since we were foolish to think we could walk there before sunrise. He warned that it’s very dangerous and in the end his son dropped us there. A very pleasant stay with good wifi too.

Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und haben uns bei allem unterstützt. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen :)

De accommodatie ligt op een rustige plek, maar met een korte wandeling ben je in het centrum en het zit dichtbij de ingang van Lions rock. Kamer was schoon en de host behulpzaam. Ontbijt was lekker. De Safari die Saman voor ons heeft geregeld was echt geweldig. De driver wist precies waar hij moest zijn en dit voor een schappelijke prijs ($30 pp)

We hadden een lage waterdruk waardoor douchen wat lastig ging (wel warm water). Ook moet je over een onverlicht pad om naar het centrum te lopen maar hiervoor kan je een tuktuk nemen.

Saman und seine Familie sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hätten uns dadurch keine bessere Unterkunft erträumen können! Die Organisation aller Fahrten wurde uns abgenommen und zu guten Preisen angeboten. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Saman has a beautiful property and family. All the family are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The rooms are big and clean, the beds are huge and comfortable and the garden is very peaceful and you can hear the sounds of nature. I would highly recommend staying at Saman’s home stay.

The host is very friendly, and the place also pretty clean even it’s in jungle. you can hear wild animals during the night. I choose this place mainly because I wanna go lion rock by hiking during the sunrise, the host told me it’s dangerous cus elephants might be on the way during the dark. So he send me to the place with bike with no charge. And the place is so close to the sigiriya rock just 10 min walk from the exit

Friendly and helpful owners. Good breakfast. It's located off a track that connects with the main road. It's 3 minutes walk to the road and is fine in the dark with the torch on the phone. Tranquil garden. Close to a few restaurants and grocery store. Lion rock about a 20 minute walk. I would stay again.

Był to nasz pierwszy nocleg na trasie wycieczki po Sri Lance i zdecydowanie najlepszy. Szukaliśmy czegoś o dobrym standardzie w przystępnej cenie. Bardzo czysto, wszystko sprawne, klimatyzacja oraz pyszne śniadanie. Blisko restauracje, lwia skala i inne atrakcje.

Obiekt doskonale położony, kilka minut spacerem od lokalnych atrakcji Lion’s rock i Pinnawala. Jeszcze bliżej jest od pensjonatu do lokalnych knajpek i malutkich sklepików. Wokół domku cisza, spokój i zieleń. W pensjonacie zjecie rownież bardzo smaczne lokalne śniadanie.

Es war sehr sauber, das Bett war sehr gemütlich, die ganze Familie war sehr nett und haben uns bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten gute Tips gegeben. Auch das Frühstück war lecker, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Perfect stay ! Saman and his son Praneet are wonderful hosts. They organized a very nice safari in Kaudulla national Park, they always gave lots of advices and were always there to help. Excellent breakfast, great location in the jungle with the sounds of wild animals. Highly recommended ! Thank you so much for these 3 days/nights. Woyld come back again !
