An amazingly situated property, making the best of the beautiful Savusavu vista. We loved being here and the lovely Sarita made it even better with her warm smile. Our room was also super lovely with its own verandah and views - a gorgeous place!

Stunning location, most of the staff were outstandingly helpful and friendly. Great small pool. Breakfasts were great served on a deck with very beautiful views and sunrises.
Parking is 90 meters vertical below the lodge unless you have a 4 wheel drive (then it is 30 m below)! If you walk from the bottom, it is like walking up to your room in a 20 story building. Gravel road is steep and it is easy to slip and fall on the way down.

We had an amazing stay at Naveria Heights Lodge. We live in Fiji and this was the best place we've stayed so far! Atu and Mili were so accomodating and friendly, doing everything they could to make our stay wondefcul. The lodge is beautifully built and decorated, and is prestine! And the view....wow! Nothing like it, it's like a brain bath. The garden was beautiful and green & breakfast was delicious - homemade bread and museili! The room was fantastic and very well decorated. Thank you for an amazing weekend getaway from Suva!

This room, the view and the place are an absolute paradise! Omg better than the pictures. Atu, Milli and Sarita are amazing hosts, they treated us like family and help us move around and took care of me when I got sick. The breakfast is beautiful and plenty. You need to try the dinner home-made cooking, delicious, local and made with love!
Savusavu is a small village. There is a lot to do on the island, but walking distance from the lodge you will find some restaurants, groceries and a few point of interest. We loved that this place is not full of tourist (yet) and carter to the local population instead.
You need insect repellant. The room is well isolated, but once outside, there are mosquitoes!
The walk up and down to the lodge takes about 10min, it's steep and slippery. I would not recommend doing it with luggage. Only 4WD can do it, not taxi. Get them to pick you up.

a feeling of being above it all, like staying in an eyrie.
the steep access, requiring a four wheel drive vehicle, to a parking area then A steep walk up from the parking area to the accommodation.
a fare of 20FJD from a local to take you up or down if you couldn’t do the walk. I slipped while trying to walk down.

the incredible views
friendly staff with excellent recommendations
lovely sun beds
awesome breakfast
have to be prepared to get sweaty to make it up the hill if you walk to town
felt like thin walls so you could hear faint outside noises. not a major issue

The views are stunning at the lodge and the staff are friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was excellent and overall the stay was pure bliss.
The only caution I have is that the walk up the hill is not for the faint of heart but I will say it is worth it!

Wonderful place with a stunning view and a great breakfast. Really great owner who was super helpful. All the arrangements went really well. Especially appreciated the flexibility and helpfulness, as well as the beautiful lodge and location.
Owner mentioned lighting in the room was in the process of being upgraded, and that will be good. The driveway is pretty steep, but the owner arranged a taxi who was able to get up and down. The benefit of the driveway is the amazing view so it's only something to be aware of.

The whole experience at the lodge was fantastic, full of care, attention and nice little touches. It's just a short walk into town and there are some great food options and a little wine shop with a surprisingly wide selection.
From the plunge pool and the sun deck to the amazing views, to the delicious healthy food every day, to the friendly team and especially lodge dog, Zeus.
Sharon also has some great local contacts that provide the opportunity to enjoy some amazing excursions - we did the stand-up paddle board, a horse ride, lunch at a local village (with a little rugby on the beach!) followed by a visit to a secret geothermal hot spring. She goes out of her way to make sure you're taken care of, and even took us on a hike of the local area sharing her knowledge on the various Fijian flora and fauna we encountered.
There are only a couple of things to be aware of (but wholly beyond the control of the staff)..
You really have to be on top of your game with mosquito repellent if you're prone to bites, as they took any opportunity to chow down on us when we lapsed.
The Hill: it really is as steep as all the reviews say. The lodge really is inaccessible by car unless you have a 4WD, and there is little room at the top to manuever. So be prepared for a short steep climb/descent going to/from the lodge - but it's a good little bit of daily cardio and the views are worth it.

The view is amazing. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff are exceptionally friendly. It was a wonderful place to stay.

the staff and the view
having our booking downgraded was disappointing
made more so by owner not acknowledging this
until we raised it. Thereafter we felt like a
problem she wished would go away. indeed the
parting comment of her colleague who kindly
drove us down the hill was that he would do
something, ‘when he got rid of these’.

The accomodation is top quality. Stunning views of sunrise and sunset. Fantastic plunge pool. Beautifully made lodge, and Tbh I think it is even better than the pictures make out.
Breakfast was beautiful. Sharon couldn't have looked after us better, adjusting breakfast for every activity we did, which included 0630 start buses and dives. She has a great selection of activities and was able to arrange our scuba diving for us when we couldn't get hold of the companies ourselves.
Savusavu is a fantastic place with lots of activities and good food and better people.
The ONLY thing is the hill. Obviously this is the necessary evil for beautiful views, but it is definitely evil. You have to have a 4x4 and know how to use it to get up. $20 per transfer, but Sharon organises these really well, and it is possible to walk to town which we did twice a day, if your fit and able. But it is a 10min walk up a very tough and sometimes slippy road at a 30-40% incline. But the plunge pool awaits you!

It was a wonderful stay . I could not hope for more. Sharon was great and so wonderful! She took me to the town and took me to the beach swimming and picking up shells. I had a great time. Her place is absolutely beautiful and stunning views from every angle. Breakfast was so so delicious and healthy. She can also provide all kinds of activities. I would highly recommend it. Thank you Sharon
You do need a 4x4 to get here. She can arrange it for you

Sharon and her team (Susan, Pitta and Vikash) are wonderful hosts and were always smiling and helping us however they could. The lodge has breathtaking views to the sea and nearby islands. The property is very nice and clean. Breakfast was different and tasty each morning and the small dipping pool was wonderful on a hot day. We had a great time with Sharon and her dog on a tour to the town, the village, waterfall and a hot water mud pool. :) Special mention to Sharon's lovely dog. Will miss you two and look forward of seeing you again.
The lodge is situated on a very steep hill which you can walk if you'd like but they offer a cheap taxi service to town and back.
