L'emplacement est idéal, nous avons pu faire les 3 premiers jours de visite sans avoir à prendre de transport! Et bien desservi par les différents transports pour les jours suivant. La machine à laver qui nous a permis de limiter le linge à emmener en avion est un plus, le wifi fonctionne tres bien. Linge de lit propre et le canapé lit était préparé à notre arrivée.

L'un des points qui nous a fait choisir ce logement était la machine à laver... mais petit bémol le fil à linge serait à changer : rouillé, il nous abîmé un vêtement, et impossible de faire coulisser pour pouvoir étendre correctement. Bémol également sur le matelas du canapé lit : mes enfants de 6 ans et 3 ans ont dormi dessus, impossible pour des adultes. l'appartement peut être un peu humide, mais rien de vraiment gênant ou de surprenant dans un appartement situé dans l'Alfama! Nous y avons séjourné mi octobre avec soleil et 23 degrés en moyenne, aucun réel souci. Attention pour les personnes en difficulté motrice : l'appartement est au 3eme et l'escalier est étroit. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé du tout, mais cela peut être difficile pour certaines personnes! Appeler dès arrivée devant le logement : il est marqué que quelqu'un nous attendra sur place, c'est faux, c'est une boîte à clé : pas de réponse aux mails ni sms, il faut appeler.

Location is super cool, right at the heart of Alfama, where you can find lots of restaurants, bars and street food. Besides it was very convenient to be close to the bus/train station, as well as the subway station

It is very steep to get into the building and when you get there, there are two sets of long steep stairs which must be in the ad for people that has mobility issues. Gladly that was not our case but some guests may be unable to make it. Also having a clothing dry hack inside the apartment would be a bonus as I was uncomfortable hanging the cloth outside near lots of pingeons.

The location was great.

The shower had mold on grout. 3rd floor walk up. No essentials like soap, DW detergent, salt and pepper..

No noise insulation. Lots of noise from the flat above, their talking, their steps, even at night. Very low ceiling. I hit my head in the ceiling lamp shade several times. No soap at all, no shower gel. I wrote a message to the host, asking for soap. No reply at all. Very steep and narrow stairway.

The location is great, the apartment is within the walking distance to the city centre and many sights.

Cleanliness of the apartment didn't meet our expectations, it could have been cleaner.

The owner was lovely, the place was really clean, nice and cosy, it had all the basics for a short stay. The bed was very comfy and the owner provided a folding crib for our baby at no cost which was really nice and helpful. She also provided a blender that I specifically asked for. She was really nice and helpful.

3rd floor with no lift through VERY narrow stairs. Nobody told us about it and it is important to know it in case you have oversized luggage or a baby pram (that didn't even fit through the tiny door) This should be clear in the description because this apartment, despite being lovely, it is not for everyone. Really poor accessibility. Taxis cannot even drop you off by the door, you have to walk up the narrow uneven streets with all your luggage, and again nobody tells you about it. It is not the end of the world and we did it, however if I had known, I wouldn't have gone to this place. It was really really difficult to access. Despite having all the basics to cook, it would have been lovely to have things like dishwasher pods, clean scourers, salt, pepper and this type of things that you are not going to buy for a 5 day stay. Just a suggestion.
