Stayed here with a friend for two weeks - it was wonderful. Friendly and attentive hosts, delicious homemade food, quiet area. There are places to walk. Clean air compared to the rest of Kathmandu. Excellent wifi, also works even if there is no electricity. I recommend if you want to live in Kathmandu in silence, beauty and comfort. But be prepared to wait for a taxi for 20 minutes if you are going to Thamel;)

We join all the rave reviews. Mira and her husband are extremely sweet and friendly people. In the guest house you feel at home, as in all of Nepal, even if you came here for the first time. Mira cooks wonderfully and can be a good conversationalist, but if you want solitude, no one will be intrusive. The room itself is also very cozy, and the bed with a thick blanket is just a dream. Thanks for the warm welcome and great experience.

Mira was amazing. She cooked us delicious food, helped us use the local ride sharing app to save money, and chatted away with us for hours about Nepal. A really great experience! Very clean room with all the amenities of a hotel, and honestly the best showers we'd had in months! Lots of pressure and super hot!

Location is 45-50 minutes walk to Thamel which is good to have a bit peaceful place to stay and nearer to the trees or forest. It's such a pleasure to see greeneries.

Owner made us best freshly grinded coffee in Nepal! They live in a nice and clean house, everything is fine. They are generous and friendly.

Neighboard dogs were making noise (barking) all night. Expensive food in house.

Mira and Sudarsan were absolutely fantastic hosts. From organising airport pick up, to cooking the most delicious breakfast and dinner, offering so much useful information about Kathmandu, where to go, surrounding areas, every single detail was clearly explained with so much kindness. The room was clean and comfortable, the lounge and dining area downstairs was cosy and relaxed. The best welcome to Kathmandu I could have asked for!! Thank you and I’ll hope to be back soon!

It was a very perfect stay to wind down and relax after traveling. The room was clean, comfortable and Auntie Mira is very friendly and hospitable.

Mira is very friendly and always sincerely smiling. Even though I was a bit moody during my time at her Homestay. The room is comfortable; good bed and nice shower!

Take note of the location: it’s not super central and I had to wait a bit before a driver would respond to my pick up request via the local transportation app.

Mira and Sudarshan are the best. Such a lovely family with an incredibly warm, quiet, and friendly homestay. We stayed here on three different occasions during our stay in Nepal, always making the easy decision to return when we were back in the Kathmandu area. The location is great, being removed from Thamel in a quiet neighborhood (it's a 5-10min taxi ride into the city, or a 40min walk). A bonus is the delicious food that Mira cooks! We look forward to visiting again :)

Flawless stay

If you like it a little quieter and away from the noisy city center, this is the place for you. Great location on the outskirts of town, with quick access to lots of great little gates and eateries. The host family is very nice and helpful, offering food and drinks and assisting with tour planning. it doesn’t feel like one is away from home, indeed it’s a home away from home. we stayed 15 nights, was very worth it. 🤝👌

we had a great time at the home stay after arriving to Nepal for the first time. we stayed 3 nights and Mira was very kind to us and made the best breakfast and dinner during our stay- she even made me some buckwheat pancakes as I am gluten free! we really enjoyed a more quiet side of Kathmandu which helped to ease us in to the busy city life! thank you again Mira and we look forward to staying again :)

We stayed for 7 days.. Everything exceptionally perfect. Mira & Sudarshan are the best proprietors I have ever met in my Travel History. They were so welcoming, friendly, adorable couple. We guaranteed that Mira is the best cook in Nepal 😍👩‍🍳. Sudarshan's special rum is the best remedy for a tired day. You guys definietly try those. Lucky... OMG such a cute and adorable dog.. 😍😍😍😍 Rooms, washrooms everything so tidy. Worth more than the value u pay. And also Krithika cute little girl and her younger brother Chopsticks boy we will miss u all... 😔😔😔 Those children made our stay during Nepal. This is the best place u must stay if u visit Nepal. They arranged everything. We have travelled so many countries and I recommend Nepal is the second best hospitality country after Sri Lanka. We love Mira & Sudarshan a lot... Thank u so much guys... Mira is a lovely hostess and a fantastic cook! The whole family welcomed us in their home. Because we are here at the festival time, they let us experience the festival in the way the locals celebrate it. Because the house is not in the centre of the city, the air is much cleaner and it's more quiet here. I would recommend this place to anyone who is also interested in how the locals live, eat and celebrate. Sudarshan helped us with a guide for our trekking to Annapurna Basecamp. They both arranged everything we needed such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, taxi and water. Perfect! Mira even taught me how to cook a few nepali dishes!! They also have a really nice son, Sugam, who showed us around the place and took me to a monastery for meditation at 6am! Their kindness was above and beyond our expectations and we will surely visit again!!
