Cottage is spacious, comfortable, and is very well equipped. perfect for a get together with friends, also good for families. Lovely views and beautiful area. Would definitely stay here again. Easy to find and plenty of parking.

Superb location surrounded by beautiful scenic countryside. Village Pub/Restaurant within walking distance. Matlock easily reached on foot, by car or public transport Welcome pack left by Sue, the owner, was a nice thoughtful touch.

The location was perfect, lovely walks on your doorstep. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable house for a family/friends get together. A Christmas tree was up in the lounge which was a lovely touch. Two pubs close by, the Tavern, a 5 minute walk and The Gate Inn, which served excellent food, 15 minute walk away.

The guests in the twin room were woken during the night whenever the bathroom was used due to the water system refilling.

A light at the end of the main path into the main road could be useful as it is easily missed in the dark.

We have stayed at this property before. They now have a second shower downstairs which is great. The cottage has a good kitchen/ dining space and nice lounge. Several bedrooms with twin beds which is great for travelling with friends.

The property could do with a bigger fridge. There is only an under-counter fridge in the kitchen and under-counter freezer in the utility. The fridge isn't very big if you were cooking all your meals in the cottage.

A superb, spacious holiday cottage for a few nights away with the family - including dad's dog! We really made the most of the huge kitchen and dining area and our toddler loved running around on the front lawn with the dog. We would have happily moved in.

If I'm being super picky the signs on the entrance could be bigger - we drove past and had to turn around. Also I had to clean out the drawer in the washing machine as a previous guest had bunged it up with something. Oh, and we were told that there is a direct route into the centre of Tansley and the Gate Inn (an excellent place to eat with huge portions), it would be good if this was detailed somewhere in the property information. We didn't want to go across the fields without specific instructions as we had a booking to keep and a toddler. But as I say, that is being super picky. Its a great property and we would all be very happy to stay again.

Beautiful view, organised the hot tub which was fantastic, pleasantly surprised by the amount of space - it is bigger than it appears in the pictures. Very good directions, easy to collect keys and there was lots of useful information about walks and the local area. Would happily stay again as a group of family or friends.

Would have been lovely to have somewhere to sit at the bottom end of the garden where there is a beautiful view.

Great location very close to matlock with lots of things to do. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely big rooms with lots of separate spaces. Great that games & books were left to use as well. Nice quiet location. Our daughter really enjoyed the rope swing in the garden & having a choice of 2 baths each night!

It took a while to get warm, but with the heating turned up high & the wood burner on it was cosy on an evening. We did find a few things that hadn't been cleaned when we were there - a couple of sweets on the rug, kid's playing cards & some slippers in the living room! But everywhere else was clean.
