Nice view good location friendly staff

We had a small but comfy room with a great view. The ranch slider opening out onto cobbled space was a welcome bonus. The bed was ok. Everything was clean and comfortalbe. I was sceptical about the buffet for breakfast and dinner as that was all that was available, and while it was relatively expensive pp, the food quality was actually very high and it didn't dissapoint. For someone that doesn't like buffet I was impressed! I also found all the staff encredibly helpful and friendly.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the location is perfect, the outside of the facilities is gorgeous. Food in Buffet was superb. The doc station is the best I have seen.

Very dated on the inside, which conflicts with to modern exterior. Bathroom doors are louvred and afford no protection from sounds or smells. Mattresses were the worst I have ever slept on- bouncing like a waterbed and sliding off the box Springs. Only one restaurant and one cafe were open without any notification on the website that these would be closed. And despite being a hotel that exists for the natural beauty and hikes- no spa, no sauna, no jacuzzi, no swimming pool. With the sore muscles from and physical exhaustion from doing the outdoor activities, this hotel desperately needs something of a spa at the least. Very over priced. The museum is overpriced and a joke. Should be free with as little as is there.

Amazing views of Mount Cook and the mountains, very central to all the walks, great bar to have a drink after a walk and watch the views. Breakfast and Dinner buffets were surprisingly good, for a buffet.

Rooms were small. Fine for 1 night but doesn't encourage a longer stay if there are a family of 4.

The breakfast and dinner buffet was awesome, the staff were very friendly and the view out of the window is marvelous. There was some hair on the tub but apart from that it was a great stay.

the smell when we get inside the room and a bit old , we book for the mountain view but we were located near the bush and mountain view alittle bit only.

Noise is the biggest issue for old hotels.

At reception: Toothpaste? No; Slippers? No; Small foreign exchange? No, this service is listed in your booklet, still no.

Amazing location !

Our room view was a bit disappointing. We also didn’t have an outside bench to use. Another restaurant option would have been nice. Buffet was ordinary unfortunately.
