Beautifully built hotel. Nice pond and the rooms were good.

Logging onto the free wifi was a huge ordeal. It initially didn't work and the young guy at the reception said just wait 30 min and try again. This was not good enough as I had work to do. Asked to speak to the manager and he called IT and got it fixed immediately. It happened again the next morning and had to get the manager to fix it. Never had this problem with other hotels. Also when we went to our rooms the at 5pm there were plates and a vacuum cleaner in the corridor that stayed there for several hours. Told the manager it was not a good look to have them sitting there for so long. Also, one of the seats in our room had a stain on it and the tiles in the bathroom were very old and outdated. The shower also had part of the wall not siliconed in to the corner. The soap also ran out on the second morning. All these little things show a lack of attention to detail. That needs to improve. Overall we did like the hotel though.

Beautiful building, friendly staff, great food.

Nachiket and Anna were very sweet to check in on us during the trip. It was lovely staying at the Chateau. The room was cozy and the garden view was amazing. We had a great time enjoying the facilities. The friendly receptionists warmed our hearts with the cookies 🍪 on arrival ♥️.

There wasn’t any dental kits in the room. But it was provided when asked.

We had a ground level room with a door to the garden. At 9.20am a tradesman appeared outside our door with a long tape measure and started measuring something above the door. He was there for a while Completely inappropriate and an invasion of our privacy. In the end I had to open the door and ask him to go away. I have stayed at the Chateau numerous times over many years so this was a disappointing experience.

Directions to our room when arriving at the hotel at 2am should have been clearer. We ended up going up the wrong lift and went around in circles until we found our room.

Loved our stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb and the restaurant was very good too. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay again.

The hotel is just outside the main city but walkable within 30 minutes but very easy to hire a taxi or uber from the hotel

The room was very well looked after and clean. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and the staff brought up a complimentary bottle of wine. Excellent service, beautiful hotel with a well-maintained central garden. We loved our stay here and will certainly return. Also the breakfast was wonderful.

Restaurant dishes, I had a calamari something that had just 5-6 calamari and the rest was salad while the name does not say salad with calamari

A little far from city center if you don’t gave a car. Fire alarm went off at 2:30am. All clear. It was just inconvenient.

Room was lovely, nice size. Location nice, being next to a large park. Breakfast room was more than adequate with a lovely outlook over the well-maintained rose garden. Reception staff faultlessly courteous too.

Ein in eine Parkanlage integriertes Hotel. Am Rand des Hegley Parks gelegen. Und in Spaziernähe zum Botanischen Garten. Auch das Zentrum kann zu Fuß erreicht werden. Die Zimmer sind mit dem Komfort aller Doubletree Hotels eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist kein Highlight.

Enttäuschend fanden wir, dass man Cappuccino zusätzlich bezahlen muss.

We liked the architecture of the hotel, which includes nice garden courtyards and its location opp Hagley Park.

The utilitarian breakfast restaurant that was not particularly welcoming. Confusion about where to get tea and when it arrived it was not very hot and disappointing.

check in experience could have been better. I arrived at 149pm and was told all rooms were being cleaned and that I could only check in at 3pm and was told to wait, despite me asking clearly if one of my two booked rooms was available. My spouse immediately filled up a hilton honors application card, and lo and behold, my 2 rooms were instantly available! I would have been very satisfied to be told initially that it was the policy of the hotel that check in time was 3pm, but not to be told an untruth that no clean rooms were available. it would have been very nice if the counter staff had just said that he would try to get me a room, an hour before official check in time, irrespective of me signing up as a hilton honors member. Thats what customer service is all about, IMHO.
