Great Spacious Rooms. Its an experience that truly deserve longer stays. Right in the middle of the City with great food and lovely staff.

The building is beautiful, rooms are really quaint and it is conveniently located in the heart of the Old City (taxis can't access it)

The staff is not really helpful (except at the main House of MG) and the food in the café downstairs is not good

The room was clean. And staff helpful within the limitation of the property.

The location of the property and the lack of services/amenities in the property. The place is located in the old town and is not easily accessible. On more than one occasions an Uber/ rickshaw drivers could not find the hotel and/or other rickshaw drivers refused to take us to and/or from the hotel. It caused frustration and importantly wasted time when touring the city. Further, the bedroom overlooked a building rubble and a rubbish dump and therefore, could not open the curtains even in the daylight. (See below) Also, the hotel lacked adequate catering facilities and the price (relatively expensive for Ahmedabad) included breakfast. However, the breakfast was poor lacking in quality or choice - for example, menu was not made available, had to ask for items to see if they had any (e.g. cereal - had ‘soft’ stale cornflakes, no eggs), hardly any choice, one item of cooked Indian snack, hot water for tea served in a milk judge which didn’t fill a cup etc. No lunch or dinner available. On the first night, the hotel agreed to bring a takeaway from their main hotel which took well over hour and half. The staff tried to be helpful but they could do nothing about the fundamental problems of location and inadequate facilities including catering.

The room was beautiful and the staff opened up the roof terrace for my group t rehearse before a performance the next day.

The check out was a nightmare. After breakfast, we tried to check out, but were told we had to wait. I thought they were bringing a front desk person to process our bill, but a shuttle arrived after 15 minutes (we were already late for our meeting), to take us to another location to pay our outstanding bill of 500+ rupees. I was told that reason was that our location could not process credit cards. When I explained that I was paying cash, they had no answer. We were very late for our meeting and were extremely embarrassed.
