- free afternoon tea/coffee
- amazing rice paddy view
- indonesian breakfast menu are too little. When we ask chicken soup or 'nasi campur' (Bali specialty) they cannot provide it. Only fried noodle/rice. Which make us boring
- too many coconut tree that block rice paddy view
- in villa dining is more expensive compare too big restaurant
- no cleaning at swimming pool in our second day. Many leaves & tree branch falling but no one pick it up

The taxi service offered by the property is really very good. The drivers are all very friendly and speak well English. The prices are fair, and the fact that this taxi service is offered by the local community is in itself a good idea.
I believe that the property has some serious limitations and shortcomings based on the way the house is build. The current price at >400 EUR/night is certainly not justificated at all - we had in Bali much better hotels for much less money. For this reason, I really can not recommend the villa, even if the owner would decide to strongly reduce the price (which is awfully high).
For example, the fact that the staff has no real retreat for itself makes privacy a real issue. The owner should have build some facility for the staff, separated from those of the guests. In the current setting, the staff is almost always "present" and has to hide itself behind the small bar separating the main living space from the (open) kitchen, or directly behind the kitchen. At a distance of 2-3 meters, this feels very unconfortable for the guests (as well as the staff). We always got the feeling that we are somehow disturbing ... and did not feel "at home". This was the case both during day and night.
An even bigger and more disappointing issue was the pool. We had chosen this property to offfer our children a couple of relaxing days at the pool, in the middle of some rice fields. What we found was disappointing. After 2 minutes in the pool, the kids refused to enter again, because of the outstanding bad water quality. This issue was reported directly upon arrival but remaining unsolved until the end of our stay. A pool like this needs a lot of care by professional people so that the water remains more or less clear. Without proper management, the water becomes disgusting. I had during my travels seen many many outdoor pools (also in tropical countries) - but never came across something like this.
Many other issues could be mentioned here - but are not included here to save space ...

wow factor on arrival.
we arrived just before sunset. the background music were playing, the incense, the smiles, the freshly squeezed OJ, the view, the sound of night approaching and everything … Just perfect.!!
The place is tastefully decorated.
Then there was the Balinese food on special request cooked at home. Who would leave home if its all in house? All I need to do is.... "Jero" I love the desert and pisang goreng. Just like magic it appeared.
You are pretty good too Koma.. That pot of hot water and tea every night has eased my suffering with the Flu.
Overall.. the best place to be by far.!!
Ah the rooster and the cow poo smell.
But hey.. if one don't like that just don't go to Ubud right?
No.. nothing not to like. Will be back for more.
