Friendly, intimate, bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed. Thanks so much Matheus. Beautiful setting. Fireplaces in common rooms. Our rooms themselves were comfortable, spacious and the ensuite bathrooms were big and beautifully tiled. Outstanding. They arranged for us to have dinner onsite ( no onsite restaurant but we were able to preorder and prepared at another vineyard and brought to us) - service of that meal was outstanding and wine pairing with the meal - amazing! Matheus even gave us an impromptu tour of the winery area even though we had not precooked. Too cold to use pool but it looked amazing. The Churchill wines were amazing, we enjoyed thoroughly and the ability to try different wines while we say in front of the fire was delightful. ( for a small fee of course ). Breakfast included the next am was buffet style and good options.

The road in to the vineyard/Quinta was a bit harrowing to drive. But no issues with it. Made it feel even more intimate. I suggest eating dinner and tastings on site, rather than elsewhere and then driving back in the evening after dark. That may not have been as easy! Otherwise, nothing I would suggest that we didn’t like.

Quinta da Gricha is a large home with plenty of spaces for guests but with only 4 bedrooms. Our family took up 2 of those! Our hosts, Mateus and Luis were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Their level of hospitality is something we have not experienced at many 5 star hotels. Breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner brought in by a local partner restaurant.

Not much to say, except maybe the pool access path could be improved.

A Quinta da Gricha é um refúgio perfeito para quem procura uma experiência única no Vale do Douro. A localização da quinta é simplesmente deslumbrante, com vista para as vinhas e o rio Douro. A casa é muito acolhedora e tem uma piscina infinita que é o local perfeito para relaxar e apreciar a paisagem. O staff é extremamente atencioso e faz de tudo para que os hóspedes se sintam em casa. O Luís, o Matheus e a dona Dina são muito prestáveis e estão sempre dispostos a ajudar. O Miro e a Kika, simpáticos cães, adoram receber os hóspedes. A harmonização de vinhos ao jantar foi excelente, os vinhos são apresentados de forma envolvente e informativa, e a comida é perfeitamente combinada.

The warm welcome, breathtaking views, and serene atmosphere made it truly unforgettable. The attention to small details was evident throughout, and the dinner on the terrace was a highlight - we highly recommend order a dinner during your booking. Since there are only 4 rooms you can expect only a few people around, not overcrowded pool area and have a sunset stroll thru the wineyard. A small snacks and drinks are available free of charge and also fridge full of drinks for extra (very convenient) cost. And they have a superfriendly dogs! A perfect blend of tranquility and luxury.

it was our second time in Quinta and everything was perfect, again!

What could you ask for more? Breath taking view of the Douro valley from a huge solarium terrace sipping delicious wine, thr swimming pool surrounded by vineyards, a place infusing relax from the first moment you reach there. Not to mention what a great host and caretaker Matheus is.

Not negative points, rather suggestions. Some additional activities to endulge guests for longer stays, Portuguese cooking classes, fado playing nights, MTB rides across the valley. The risk could be people won't leave the place anymore!

Exceptionally well maintained property. Stunning views all around with amazing garden and vineyard perfect for a short walk. Matteo was fantastic during the visit and tasting in answering thoroughly all our questions and offering a genuine service. Will surely visit again.

The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The decor and dinner were great. The view is amazing!

The wine tour wasn’t as good and detailed as we expected. There was no wine shop. We expected more consistency and a better breakfast experience.

Everything was fantastic : nature around, location, wine and Quinta by itself! One day was not enough! Will come one more time for sure 👌

Breakfast was fantastic along with dinner. It was quiet and the views were spectacular, we will come back when it is warmer so we can use the pool. Wines were super tasty. Louis, who checked us in was an excellent host, he made our stay better than we could have hoped for.

Bigger bathroom sink with faucets a littler further up.

The Quinta is a very special place. Evoking its own history in an ancient landscape, it charms you. Wonderful staff, a sense of home and yet the luxury of a thoughtfully curated boutique hotel.
