Nothing special about.

The neighbours made parking difficult. They were many lots of little moths in the bedrooms

Key safe. There is a problem with the lock into the main door, very difficult to open from inside and out. This is the only exit from the property so may be an issue in an emergency.

There is a very damp musky smell from underneath the sink which ‘welcomes’ you on arrival. In the summer with the windows open this may not be too bad but very unpleasant in the rain/cold when the windows are shut.

The location was superb with easy access to a very good corner shop ,two pubs and a very good restaurant. We found it easy access some of the great sites in this area .

There was a problem with the front door lock but one phone call solved it . However, it does raise the issue of only one point of entry and exit . The instruction and advice folder could do with updating and a few local maps for walking would have helped .

Good location for walking and Keswick. Well stocked kitchen tools and appliances. Bedrooms ok, mattress very firm.

Tight parking but manageable. Light carpets an issue for dogs and outdoor types.

Warm cottage, well equipped kitchen, comfy bed.

Sofas were well passed there comfort zone and need replacing, shame as after a long day walking a comfy sofa would have made the stay perfect.

The sofas were extremely uncomfortable - I went with elderly parents and they had to sit on the kitchen chairs in the living room and we had to bring the pillows down from upstairs for ourselves on the sofas as you sink so far down into them when you sit down.

Facilities were great. Everything provided, even things you didn’t think you needed!

We had trouble collecting keys. We didn’t receive email with instructions as it was apparently sent to Booking.com and not forwarded to us. We called the numbers on the booking email and were given a code and told to collect them from the Cumbrian Cottages office in Keswick. They weren’t there and we couldn’t get hold of anyone on the phone to ask what to do next as it was Saturday evening when we arrived. After the long drive from the south coast this was not at all what we needed. We went to the property and luckily a neighbour knew the code as the keys were in a locker there and helped us in.
