The location is beautiful, I got an amazing upgrade to a room with a panorama view on the castle. Everything was crisp and clean - breakfast was amazing. special thanks to Abdel that was so understanding and kind at the reception desk. Shout out to the staff!
If you really want a view on the castle like I did make sure you guarantee it in your booking. I was lucky there was still a room left but it’s not many of them!

Beautiful view, good location
The hotel should have provided driving directions in advance due to a construction detour and also the address for the parking garage. Staff did not answer the phone.

Great location, with a lovely terrace. Public car park is very close and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful. Powerful shower and some basic toiletries.
There was a big of an odd smell in our room the last night. We never figured out what it was but was not there for the entire stay.

Location, views, friendly staff
The evening meal was surprisingly bad for such a 4 star hotel. We have an apartment in France and love French food and wine. We had just spent a lovely month in Montpellier and ate out every day with great pleasure..
The hotel wine was off (but it was quiet and off season so the bottle was probably open for a long time. We had said it was impossible to get a bad glass of wine in France and were proved wrong).
More importantly, the food was really bad, almost inedible. The worst meal we had had in France. Stuffed courgettes : undercooked hard courgette pieces with a bit of rice inside and no sauce. Weird. I scraped out the rice. Two spoonfuls. Left the rest as my knife couldn’t cut into it. My husband had a mound of steamed potatoes topped with a bit of veal parmentier from a tin, tiny bit of sauce. Inedible.
The lovely waiter was most kind and gave us desserts on the house. Lumps of apple but passable. Even my mint tea came in a half full cup and tasted sharp and unpleasant.
We had had a wonderful lunch at Brasserie 4 that day. So many good places to eat in Carcassonne. We would stay at the hotel again but never eat there again.

Everithing was very clean
Kind off meh. The hotel has great views, but not from most rooms. Room was extremely hot even with all heating down. Many maintenance defects, broken stuff all around...
Nothing really serious but is not the great hotel that could be

This hotel is perfect, it has all the amenities, modern rooms and fantastic view, central location, walking distance from everything you might want to see.
The staff was very helpful, with a 24h reception desk. In Carcassonne, this is the place to stay.
Everything was perfect.

The location of this hotel and the view is outstanding, probably one of the best, if not the best, view you can get of the medieval city. Parking is paid for but close by and not that expensive which is good. Breakfast was tasty and a reasonable selection but as others have said there just wasn't enough of it, seems they aren't prepared for the number of guests.
This is not a 4 star hotel, more like a 3. The rooms are small even when a "large double" was requested and we queried the size of the room and we were told this was what we had ordered. No room to open suitcases and no storage. The room was also quite dirty when we arrived, it had been "cleaned" but there was an empty bottle of wine and dirty glass not removed from the room, the bathroom was dirty and dusty. Very expensive, really not good value for money.
