Loved our stay. Great accommodation, everything you need. very comfortable and well thought out. Castle right next door and have a view of same from windows. Lots of history to discover. Please note: that there is 32 steps up to apartment and no lift. Don’t stay here if mobility issues or not willing to carry up your luggage. Plenty of restaurants nearby and inside the fortress. Easy walk to train station. Great communication by hosts.

The apartment is on the second floor without a lift so if you have difficulties climbing stairs it is not ideal.

Everything, the apartment was superb and exceeded our expectations.

whilst this isn't really a criticism there are a lot of stairs (this is nothing compared to the climb up to the walled city) and constructively I would suggest checking the bathroom fan is working as the amount of condensation when showering was excessive. A maintenance check sheet separate to the feedback book may be worth considering for issues like these.

Location was perfect, just below one of the entrance gates to la Cité. Welcome pack appreciated . Detailed instructions on shops etc. Easy to park close to Gite. Short walk over bridge into la Basride. Took advice and had wonderful cassoulet in la Cité. Would highly recommend to anyone. Lovely comfortable stay, nothing to fault

GREAT location at bottom of back gate of medieval Carcasonne......FREE parking in locked area of historic church across street......large apt. with 2 bedrooms and washing machine........shopping/ restaurant street nearby connecting bridge with front gate............HUGE WALLED citi with many restaurants and $ tour of ramparts to explore........grocery a few doors down the street.. code for lock box keys

The place was lovely and homelike. Very comfortable, clean, quiet and well equipped. The host are charming. We highly recommend it.

The location was amazing, just at the foot of the castle city, with a local shop nearby the apartment was clean and beautifully presented with clear instructions on how to use the facilities

The apartment was cozy, well taken care of, very clean and confortable. We never met the hosts but they were always in touch if we needed anything. The location was absolutely excellent, just around the corner of the famous Cité de Carcassonne. The decoration had a personal touch that we appreciated and the kitchen was very practical and everything was working well.

We came by train and it was a long walk with luggage (25 minutes) from the train station to the apartment. It was the only thing that wasn't so great, apart from that we have nothing bad to say.

The apartment was very clean and modern with good air-conditioning in all rooms. The location right near the castle was excellent.

Wonderful location, good facilities and helpful host when we had a problem.

We needed clothes washing facilities, accommodation had a washing machine, but no iron or ironing board when queried host said iron in cupboard (it wasn't), host did rectify situation immediately on being told.

The gite was comfortable, clean and in a good position. However I was not expecting 4 flights of stairs. I an 81 and disabled and the stairs were something of a challenge. We saw no-one either on arrival or leaving and had a struggle to gain access. The instructions were sent to my e-mail address after we left the UK and we took quite a while to find out how to access the property.

I would suggest that the access instructions would have been better sent when I paid not after I had left for my holiday. It caused quite a lot of wasted time and phone calls. Also I don't remember the stairs being mentioned when we booked,

A super well located apartment close to one of the entrances to the medieval city of Carcassonne. The apartment was a good size, very clean and modern and a well equiped kitchen. The park for our car was right outside the apartment which was very convenient. The hosts (Peggy and Anthony) communicated effectively and promptly. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Gîte Carcasso exceeded all our expectations. It is exceptionally well eqipped with a modern kitchen and washing machine/dryer. Tastefully decorated but very practical eg; the shelving in the bedroom could be a shelf or table; towel rack right beside the shower. Parking is private and very convenient. The location too is ideal. The path to Porte Aude in La Cité is a few steps to the right of the gîte; La Bastide is about a 15 minute walk via Pont Vieux. We would, and have, recommend Gîte Carcasso very highly to anyone coming to Carcassonne. (We also had the added pleasure of meeting owners Peggy and Anthony, a lovely couple.)

Not a single thing! (I would buy one of the wall hangings painted by Peggy's Mum if they were available. Beautifully done.)

Everything! The apartment is in a great location right next to the castle entrance to the medieval city, it's about a 5 minute walk up a steep hill with stunning views. You could see the castle from the bedroom and kitchen in the apartment. There were a couple of small grocery shops nearby for supplies. It was very easy to enter the apartment, the door is clearly labelled 'Gite Carcasso' and the instructions to access the building and get the keys were easy to follow. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and is very clean, stylish and well equipped. The beds are a good size and very comfortable. There was no noise disturbance at all, very peaceful. The hosts were very responsive and helpful when we had questions. There was detailed information on the appliances. Only additional thing my kids would have liked to know is whether there were any English TV channels and how to access them.

very well appointed and spotlessly clean. everything was just as advertised and the location is better than being in the Cite, and it is very close. we will go back there again and will tell all of our friends. highly recommended
