The onsen, breakfast buffet, comfortable room. I really like Gotanda as it's a lot quieter and less touristy but still close to the action. It's nice to walk along the river.
Nothing.

Great hotel staff! Thank you for your hospitality. I left my car and home keys in the hotel, the amazing staff arranged all my belongings to travel all the way from Tokyo to Prague within 8 days. Appreciate!!!

Staff were friendly spoke English
They didn’t clean the rooms well. Noticed they didn’t vacuum my room most days. This was hard with a baby who was putting rubbish in her mouth from floor. My bathroom smelt like sewage. I had told them they did try to address the problem but it still smelt. I stayed in the room for 6 days

The place is very convenient, very close to the station . Beautiful city view .
The public bathroom was not with the city view as was described in the hotel overview. But it was really relaxing and hot !

location! easy to get around on JR, and other subway lines to all parts of Tokyo. A great supermarket 1/2 block away. Several great restaurants within walking distance a couple minutes away. Just look up top rated restaurants near me with Google map: Hotspoon’s curry beef, Singapore Chicken rice and laksa at Mr. Chicken are great!
Public bath closes at 9:00, last call for breakfast is 9:30. I find that we have to pick breakfast or bath and Hard to relax with these time limits.
Room cleaning does not have 3 options like all other hotels: 1. do not disturb, 2. replace amenities with fresh towels, or 3. full cleaning. They do not have the middle options. We had to find the cleaning crew to get towels replaced. All other hotels would hang a full bag of amenities on door with the 2nd option.

Rooms have a great size for Tokyo, the view from the terrace is great. Location is good, easy access from Shinagawa (Shinkansen) and reasonable taxi ride to Haneda, we usually stay on the Yamanote line so everything between Shinjuku and Tokyo Sta. is close by. Plenty of restaurants around and a large supermarket with a small mall attached. Access from Gotanda station (also with lots of luggage) is easy, just take the elevator to the 4th floor (head towards metro line) and then take the elevator down in the mall.
The staffs’ English skills are limited and sadly service levels for foreign guests and that for Japanese guests differs largely, which I find inappropriate for a hotel like this in Tokyo.
The hotel is trying to be eco-friendly by removing amenities from the room, having notes about their goals and such, yet every amenity from the amenity bar and the bag to take them in are single use plastic. Same at bath, guests are asked to wrap their slippers in plastic bags when a simple shelf (like everywhere else) would suffice. Same for the plastic bags for the towels, other Japanese hotels we stayed at had basket bags that could be used during the stay.
The public bath is quite nice however I felt that proper etiquette (also from other Japanese guests) are lacking. Depending on the time of the day, the changing rooms could be cleaner (bins overflowing, floor dirty). There are also no stools for children at the public bath, also no special amenities for children (which is common to have in Japan).

A very good hotel with a reasonable price at an unbeatable location. Only 2~3 minutes walk to Gotanda Station on the JR Yamanote line which then takes you to Shibuya in 10 minutes. The room size was slightly larger than the typical Japanese hotel but we had the complimentary upgraded moderate twin room. It was enough for 2 adults and a toddler who had her own portacot and 2 big luggages. There were lots of eateries and a small mall around the area for your food & shopping needs.
The spa/bath on the 16th floor is a highlight and a good spot to unwind after a long day. Can get slightly crowded on weekends so go earlier if possible.
The breakfast was almost the same throughout the 5 days that we stayed with a little variation. It consists of Western/Italian & Japanese food to suit most travellers. Very kids friendly and they provide high chairs and baby utensils.
Reception and check-in was fairly quick, luggage forwarding to another hotel in Kanazawa was done easily with no frills, great price too.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay and the price we paid was more than justified.
The main issue I had was the number of washing machines. There were only 2 located on the top floor and that was it. More often than not they would be in use and a small queue would form outside just to wait for their turn. How about doubling the number of machines?

The rooms and overall look of the hotel were fantastic.
The reception was based on the 16th floor which provided amazing views of Tokyo. Staff were incredibly hospitable and welcoming.
On the bottom floor was a Lawson which can be accessed without going outside, very convenient during rainy days when I needed to buy an umbrella.
I think the onsen should be advertised more, I was completely unaware and it was probably the best feature of the hotel. Especially in the evening after walking around exploring.
Smoking room could of been a little bigger / outside. Only complaint.

I loved grabbing a coffee in the later afternoon on the 15th floor reception area. It’s a peaceful way to be away from the crowds and to relax a bit. the coffee machine is amazing too!
There should be more signs in the onsen/sento for etiquette there. Some people wouldn’t take a shower and go into the baths or talk loudly. ☹️

Everything is very decent. The room is clean, the lobby has a nice view. The onsen is also quite nice.
For the price I simply would have expected a bit more: bigger sizes, a better breakfast, a bigger onsen, etc.
