Andrew the host was most helpful and pleasant. Room was spotless and the bed super comfy, breakfast delicious, good choices, gardens peaceful and relaxing stay. Views were absolutely stunning and location quiet and peaceful even though next door to Barrel Inn which served good tasty food. Walks right on doorstep, excellent location.

The views from the room are so stunning that I personally would have put the bed on the other wall and the sofa where the bed was to enable you to sit and enjoy the view all year round through the french doors, even in the cold and rain, you could sit there for hours - forget the TV! As it was lovely weather we took advantage of the view from the garden and sat outside, very relaxing. The wardrobe is far too big, only need one half the size but the sofa in the room very comfortable. A truly gem of a place, will be back for sure.

Location is amazing, off the beaten track closer to Bretton than Eyam.

Marvellous breakfast - with some unusual (and very tasty) options. Beds comfy, spacious room , even has a separate little room for fridge and kettle .

The location was beautiful, the room and facilities excellent and Andrew the host friendly and informative about local places of interest. Breakfast was outstanding.

The main reason to stay here is the spectacular location high on a ridge between the Dark and White Peak District. The superb Barrel Inn is a bonus and is only a few steps from the accommodation.

Awesome place - amazing views and a large size room - I was on the ground floor and I think the floor above was even bigger! Great breakfast and friendly host with good recommendations for dinner - the Bull's Head in Foolow was particularly good

WiFi in room too weak to stream and TV too small/far away to watch… wouldn’t have mattered as we were there to get away from it all, but around NY wanted to watch a bit TV around midnight

Loved the location right next door to the Barrel inn pub which did lovely evening food, accommodation was great lovely big king size bed so comfy, breakfast was great plenty of it. Andrew and Karen was brilliant hosts, great location for exploring will definitely be returning
