Perfect place to stay for a short visit to Tampa. Easy

After staying at several VRBO properties we can say that this one was without question the best. Property was immaculate and had a tremendous view of the river. Hosts Ed and Marianne could not have been more helpful and friendly! Their suggestions for restaurants were spot on.

This homey little apartment is perfect for a serene getaway for a couple or single that love sitting on a deck watching the river go by and looking out for birds, manatees, and alligators. Driving down the main drag, you would never know this private, safe little neighborhood on the river exists. Very clean, and Ed and Marianne are superhosts! Friendly, responsive, and can direct you to anything you are interested in exploring in Tampa. And the zoo is practically around the corner!

Lovely quiet time, very peaceful and clean.

We had a wonderful stay perched above the river. Our hosts were over-the-top. Mystified by the TV? Host Ed will be right up. Might we extend two days? Host Marianne reworked cleaning and such so that it could happen. We loved sitting on the deck with my brother who lives nearby. Highway access was totally doable. We hope to be back!

This was our first Vrbo experience, so we weren’t sure what to expect. This was so much better than staying at a hotel! It was like staying at a friend’s house. It was quiet and private and the location was a perfect distance from where we spent our days. We liked that it is just buffered enough from Florida Ave. and still close enough to Bo’s for ice cream, Wa Wa for morning coffee, and Krispy Kreme for when they had freshly made donuts. Would happily stay again!

What a wonderful, clean and peaceful place to spend a few days away. This home was close to everything I needed in and around Tampa! The home was so cozy, the bed was incredible and it had all the amenities I have grown to love in a VRBO.

Apartment was very clean and had everything you would need, nice Riverview from the deck. Owners were prompt and responsive. Gave great instructions on how to unlock and lock the door. A welcome binder with some helpful info about the area including restaurants. Would definitely book again

quiet and peaceful but close to all the Tampa Attractions

This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve stayed at Ed & Marianne’s place. My husband is usually with me but I traveled solo this time - to help our daughter move into a new apartment in Tampa (she attends UTampa). Love the peace and quiet yet quick access to the highway of this location. I also appreciate the little things the hosts do to make your stay comfortable- coffee, water, extra toiletries. It comes in handy when you arrive late at night and don’t have time to hit the stores before they close. I’m sure I’ll be back again! Until then …

Very clean and comfortable, nice area! Owner gave good recommendations for places to eat—enjoyed fish at Ricks on the River and a hearty breakfast at Trip’s.

So my flight touchdown at around 1:30am, and I arrived at the destination my GPS gave me (google maps/android) but it was nowhere near where I was suppose to be. I called the owner, frustrated that I had to wake him up and explaining the situation but he was polite and nice about it and walked me through it realizing I was just literally a couple blocks away. The owner also left a lot of great suggestions as well as activities around the area. I even tried the local taco place down the road and it was amazing for great price! Not only that, I found out I have family there too!!! So whenever I do come back, I'm definitely staying here again.

Wonderful place; clean and comfortable. Very convenient to restaurants, shopping, Universities and Tampa attractions. Bed and couch were extremely comfy!

The property was tucked back from the road, and was an upstairs apartment over the garage. The view from the patio was beautiful. It looked out towards the river. The outside of the building was very rustic, and the inside was new and more modern.

I dont have a single negative thing to say about this property. Its so peaceful, private and lovely. Thank you!

What a perfect stay! Ed and Marianne were such gracious hosts. They gave excellent beach and restaurant suggestions — even lending us beach chairs and towels. We’ll be back!

My husband & I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was at this River Retreat!! As a retired couple,we enjoy a diverse choice in VRBO experiences. Ed & Marianne are incredible hosts. Their accommodations are more than comfortable, it became a private, enjoyable “home away from home” for our 9 nights of experiencing Tampa and its surrounding areas. Both the apartment & it’s upper decking provided relaxing hours after a day away touring. We appreciated every attention to detail in cleanliness and all amenities provided. Secure, private parking and the very comfortable apartment furnishings and king size bed, offer everything you could want / need in a rental home. The owners are a wonderful couple. Ed & Marianne are caring home owners and are always available if needed for anything but truly respect offering their guest’s privacy. We so enjoyed our outdoor deck moments and the scenery it provided. There is so much to do in this area ! Afterwards, at your days end, this cozy abode is a great place to return to… we slept so well at night followed by relaxed mornings. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better rental or welcoming hosts. We would love to return again one day. The guest ratings are what originally made us choose this rental. We now know why. We enjoyed our stay and the property was in a great location.

We attended an event in the area and this upstairs vrbo had a cute balcony overlooking the river and everything we needed- a comfy king sized bed, a coffee maker and a nice sized kitchen, and privacy. We may stay there again next year if we attend the event again.

We had our dinners on the deck over looking the river that was about 50 feet away. The unit was clean and well maintained, there is a full kitchen but we did not cook any meals in the unit. Easy access to grocery stores and restaurants in the area.

Very nice 1 bedroom apartment. Everything, really everything you need and more, was there. We enjoyed our stay a lot. We will go back if we have the oppertunity.
