We absolutely loved staying at your beautiful home. We made lots of amazing memories with the tubing down the river , going to the top of Gore mountain , and relaxing by the fire at night sharing everyone’s high/low of the day !! It suited our large family perfectly and was very clean and a well stocked kitchen was great to have !! Thank you also for always getting back to me with any questions that we had … the only thing that was a little scary was the road and how fast people go but there were lots of breaks in between the cars so we could cross ….thanx again !

Nicely updated, well maintained, beautiful house. Everything is well organized and the owner makes it easy to stay there. Everything clean from top to bottom. Peaceful walks in the back yard. Dunkley falls/black hole for swimming nearby is a must. The front porch is perfect for coffee or just relaxing all day. Road in front of the house has some speed demons so be careful crossing. Owner gives great directions for all aspects of the stay so no confusion on what you need to do. Highly recommend :)

We had a great time. It was a direct route to Lake George where we went most days. Kids had a good time in playroom. Bedding was very comfortable.

This is our second stay at the Hudson House. We love the location, so close to Gore Mountain. Nancy is a fantastic host and her home is so well equipped with everything we need, particularly in the kitchen. Makes planning meals so much easier! And whoever she has as a cleaning service deserves extra props because the house is spotless. We hope to be back again next year!

We had an amazing time at The Hudson House were a group of 12 of us enjoyed the scenic riding in upstate NY. The house had everything we needed and more. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to suit all of our needs. The gear room in the basement is great for unloading your gear after a long day of riding. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back.
Thanks Nancy.

Great house to do a large family vacation.

We enjoyed a great week exploring the Lake George area and the Adirondacks using the Hudson House as our home base! The house was large enough for our group of 8 adults and 9 children to either spread out for some quiet time away from the group, or get together as a whole group for breakfast, dinner, S'mores, movies, or game nights. The kitchen was well stocked with almost every gadget one might need. The basement was the perfect spot to set up a game console for the older kids to unwind at night. The porch was a great spot to watch over the river while enjoying breakfast. There are some incredible hiking spots within a 15 minute drive, as well as some amazing activities that weren't even on our radar until we checked in. The homeowner was very thorough with her check-in procedures, as well as in communicating about some of the quirks that come with living in a historic home. All in all, we had a great time, and would absolutely consider returning for a future extended family vacation!

We are from Michigan and brought 35 kids to the Word of Life Camp Facilities in Pottersville & Schroon Lake, New York. We needed a place for 11 adults and 1 infant to stay and this worked out perfectly. We thank the owner for all of her help and want her to know that her beautiful was refreshing and very relaxing! Thank you!

Great family get together!
The house is a great place for a family getaway. It has everything you need. The place was clean and everyone enjoyed spending time in the house and on the beautiful piece of property. The only thing that I would suggest is more bed configurations in the rooms. Many of the rooms just have a queen bed. And our group would have liked some more variety so that people didn’t have to sleep together. (Siblings, cousins, etc.)

Ski trip weekend
Second time we rented this house this winter. The house is perfect for a weekend ski trip. The boot room in the basement makes getting ready a breeze, even with a bunch of kinds under 9.

Historic Beauty on the Hudson River
We have a large group we travel with to the Adirondacks every year during the fall season. The home was beautiful and spacious with the perfect balance of historic charm and modern amenities and Adirondack decor. We brought food and prepared meals there and had everything we needed in the kitchen.
Exploring the property was perfect for our group with kids of all ages. There were several hiking options nearby and it’s also located very close to Gore Mountain.
The owner was kind and informational and treated us like family. We spent time on the front porch watching the Hudson River flow and had fires at night in the backyard.
We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and family. This place really felt like a (large) home away from home!

Great winter getaway
We loved our stay at the Hudson House. It was a multi-family getaway where we tried to balance online work/school with some skiing time. The house easily accommodated us and the WiFi handled multiple streaming and zoom calls throughout our stay with no disruption. Gore mountain was minutes away making it easy to shuttle back and forth. We would definitely go back!

Gore Mountain - Beautiful Property Large Home great location
This home delivers! Five minute drive to Gore Mountain - impeccably clean and well appointed - best “ski room” for gear. We had three families together for a ski weekend. More than enough room for everyone - great hangout space both on the lowest level as well as the very cool third floor bunk room for our children. Beautiful views of the river and a short hike on the property to a gorgeous waterfall. The property owner was available and attentive - we had an issue and someone was on-sight to address it within an hour. We VRBO ski homes 2x per year. This home easily earned our five star rating. A pleasure.

Absolutely beautiful house. We arrived for our Family Christmas getaway around 4pm. The driveway was plowed so parking and access for unloading was easy. Opened the back door, ski gear directly downstairs and luggage up a few steps into the main floor. House was very clean and stocked. All bedrooms were made, sheets, comforters, towels. Bathrooms had towels, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner !!Kitchens was fully stocked. Not just with all necessary pots, pans, etc, but also had spices, spray oil, nondairy creamer, sugar...The living room was very comfortable and easily fit all 15 of us during our secret Santa gift exchange. Throughout the stay, the kids made good use of the ping-pong room, basement family room for board games, and the living room for movies and more. For lunch and dinner, the 9 kids sat around the dining room table, and the 6 adults would sit around the kitchen island. It felt like home. During day 3, we took a short hike in the “backyard”, following the marked trail into the back of the property where we took in the scenic view of a double waterfall on the brook. the Hudson River was across the street, and just past the train tracks (abandoned?!?) With the snow, more winter scenic photos along the Hudson, and train tracks. Again, absolutely loved the house. Perfect for the family getaway. The Hudson House owner, was responsive to questions before arrival as well as during. Thank you Nancy for making 2020 a little brighter.

Very cozy and warm
This property was great! Nancy is the perfect host and will answer all and any questions you may have.
Anything you may need for the house is all located locally within 20 minutes from the house.
The house is in such a great area with beautiful scenery right next to the Hudson River. It has a cute gazebo in the back just into the woods with a small fire pit that is perfect for having s’mores with your friends and family at night.
Farther into the woods of the property you will find a small waterfall/watering hole!
It sleeps so many people and comfortably too! I could not have asked for a better host.
I will definitely be re-booking here!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hudson House. The attic & game room were perfect for the kids to play while the adults loved sitting on the front porch. One night we had a bear visitor that knocked over the dumpster & Nancy was so kind to send us videos of the bear in action, the kids thought it was so cool! Overall in was a perfect family get away!

Great place for family and friends
Big house for large families and friends located close to Gore mountain. We had a really good time staying at Hudson House and skiing Gore mountain. Kids had more than enough space to play and enjoy the house after skiing and parents had enough space to relax after a fun day at the mountain. Great location, clean house, easy check-in/out, friendly owner, clear instructions and much more.
