Here we go.. a week before our stay in this beautiful property by outsid, I contacted the management if all complaints of reviews of 2024 had been fixed, they said yes, my surprise was that I had to deal with most of them, hot tub water not reaching over 100 degrees, room #1 where I stayed tub shower not working and when it is filled a leak will start coming out landing on top of the pool table on first floor, Tv screen it was locked in room #4. Vacation not full enjoyed if you stay here. Not owner’s foul I’m sure of that.

Although it's across the street from the beach-front homes, this house has a GREAT view of the ocean from the upper floors. The place is clean and full of amenities. But, it is in need of a little TLC. For instance, we had some trouble with the bathroom pocket doors that were quick to get stuck, the ice-maker in the fridge gave out right away, and the patio furniture on the upper balcony has seen better days. Another important thing to know before booking is that there are A LOT of stairs. Prepare for a workout. If you're in decent shape, though, this a is a great place to stay. It's comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and it's an easy walk to the beach and to shops & restaurants.

We loved this place! It was a very quick and convenient walk to the beach!
The view at the top (main level) was gorgeous! The hot tub was a fun blessing, as it kept us warm in the cool wind with a beautiful view!
We loved that the rooms with their own bathrooms! 2:4 had a shower, the other 2 had Jacuzzi tubs.
The game room at the bottom was great as we were able to laugh and play games after the kids were in bed and we weren't afraid of walking around and waking them up.
The place is huge and was really clean. Although there was a fishy smell in the stairway near the kitchen, but that was probably due to the people there before us. The smell improved throughout the stay. The salt shaker was empty... so bring your own pantry items.
The Vacasa customer service was very responsive to text messaging when i had questions.

It's a lovely house and it met most of our needs. The checkin was very frustrating because it took about 20 minutes to get the door lock to work. We never did figure out how it works, we were just lucky enough to make it work after many tries. Some helpful hints should be included with the check-in instructions.
There should also be instructions for the fireplace. None of the bedroom tv's would connect with the wi-fi so they were unusable. The hot water was so hot as to be dangerous. Pots and pans need some updating.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but it could have been better without these issues.

We liked it was close to the beach, but all the beds were super squeaky. One move and you could hear it from another room. Going to the bathroom echoed so everyone could hear. Hot water ran out after 10 minutes. So no tub use. Lots of stairs. No ac and it was hot upstairs. Batteries dead in the remotes. And the door entry code wouldn’t work on 2 occasions we had to wait for a new code. And explain every time it didn’t work. It was frustrating standing outside wet, cold with 3 kids. It’s decent but over priced for sure.

Lots of stairs, no ac. It was really hot upstairs. Couple of the remotes batteries were dead. Hot water ran out after 10 minutes. Didn’t get to use the jacuzzi tubs. The entry code didn’t work when we arrived and also another time coming back. Had to wait 10 minutes to get another code. Beds were so squeaky, one little move and squeaked so loud. Going to the bathroom echoed. It was ok but not worth the price. From the upstairs you can see the ocean. You have to walk down a steep road or stairs. Best to drive to the ocean. Again not worth the price.

The house itself was nice, great location and view. Hot water didn’t work so no one could bathe/shower which is a problem when you have young children at the beach. Half of the TVs didn’t work and it was difficult to control the temperature to a comfortable spot. Overall it could definitely use some TLC and updating.

So close to the beach and a lovely place!

This property was disgusting! The carpets smelled of mold & mildew, there were stains, and food and beverage matter on the rugs and furnishings throughout the house. The water heater went out constantly and there was a leak from a light fixture onto the pool table. I contacted Vacasa via email and was told a follow up would come after the local property management was reached, that was May 10th and I’ve heard absolutely nothing. Save your money!

While the house has potential it needs lots of help. To start off there were NO CLEANING supplies what so ever in the house. The kitchen is lacking in pots, pans and silverware. No extra blankets or pillows. Considering it offers a hot tub they really need to offer more than 2 towels in each bathroom.

Where to begin. First off the house itself was great and if not for the management company Vacasa we would stay there again. I think the owners should know that Vacasa has terrible customer service and while the house was pretty clean it could be better. We stayed 5 days and communicated with Vacasa everyday on a couple issues which were never resolved. We had no internet the entire time which was an issue not only because of inconvenience but we had college students with us that needed to do schoolwork. Six of us went over our data limits on our personal cell phones because of this. We were told by Vacasa there was an outage in the area which is hard to believe a major internet company would be out for that long. But we talked to several neighbors whose internet worked just fine. We were told they would reimburse us 21$ a day for the internet which again considering we all went over our data limits does not seem sufficient. After talking about a larger refund with them we were told they had to talk to higher ups to approve and have not heard a word since and have obviously not received any sort of refund from them. We also lost hot water on the third day we were there and they finally sent someone out the day before we left. Because of the way the hot water is in that house we only ended up with enough hot water for one person to take a quick shower before it went cold again which was super hard with 8 people in the house. Anyway there’s more I could say but I’m out of space.

The house was wonderful we had such a great time. The stairs were not di wonderful but the house was great. Loved the fact we each hd our in room with pirate baths and jacuzzi tubs in 2 of the rooms. Had snow issue with the heat but the maintance man came the next day and fixed it. Love the ocean view and balcony .

The good: View was great! The Location was awesome! Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Hot tub, pool table was fun.
The Bad: When we arrived the hot tub was cold. Discovered that the breaker was off. Switched it on and eventually got warm the by the next afternoon, but since we were only there 3 nights, half of our stay was over before we could use the hot tub.
The Ugly: The carpet was so dirty and stained that none of us walked in the house without our shoes on! The pool table was great but 41 stairs to get to the refrigerator and kitchen on the upper level. (But that is where the view was)

The house had 4 bedrooms all with their own private bathrooms. That was very nice! 3 of the queen beds had great mattresses the 4th had an older mattress that sagged and dipped a bit. Our 13 yr daughter slept on it. But it would not have been ideal for a couple.
2 bedrooms had decks to the outside but only 1 deck was usable but that was not disclosed in the rental property info.
The hot tub was half full of cold water and wasn’t in working condition(that was also disappointing because it was not disclosed in the rental info).
The kitchen/living room was very spacious and a great view of the ocean and sunsets. We saw whales everyday from the deck!!! Plenty of dishes and utensils.
The game room was very nice to use!
The walk to the beach was nice and short and very easy! Many of us walked barefoot it was so close.
Great proximity to the shops.

The house worked out perfectly!

This house was very interesting from top to bottom. It was designed to taste for the family that owns it. They have a lovely game area in the garage adjacent room. They have all the bedrooms on the middle floor - somewhat like a hotel floor for lodging. Then they have the living quarters on the third floor with a deck, hot tub and view of the ocean.
It was quite the stellar house. Unfortunately, the hot tub was only at 75 degrees upon arrival and no instructions on how to adjust it. There was no operating guide and after contacting Vacasa 3 times, they were unable to assist over our 3 night stay. Sadly we lost a great feature of the home.
I would stay here again, but only if there was a correction to the hot tub situation. In other houses, it's already been brought up to temp by the cleaning crew earlier in the day and/or a plaque card existed on the outside of the tub. All in all, it was a great space for the 8 of us and it never felt crowded. We all had great communal time and private spaces.

What a wonderful home to have. 5 minutes walking to the sand, a gorgeous view from the top patio. Just a magnificent Oregon coast stay.
8.0 / 10.0
The location was fantastic; beach access was easy (although a lot of steps). View was spectacular from the 3rd floor. Parking was a breeze because of the space. The game room is fun. Kitchen was easy to use. The Vacasa app made communication easy as well.

We booked this home to enjoy some time on the Coast with family. It was in a great location- quick access to town and an easy walk to the beach. The game room on the first level was used every night and everyone enjoyed having living space to eat together on the top floor. The hot tub on the upper deck was a bonus to the views of the water we got to take in daily. We also all appreciated having bedrooms with attached bathrooms for added convenience. For the rooms that had a bathtub, the upper floor shower was helpful to have.
10.0 / 10.0
It was beautiful the view was breathtaking! We loved our time there. The only negative was the hot tub wasn’t hot but we never called to have it looked at. The home was perfect for our family we would definitely stay again!
8.0 / 10.0
Location, space, ease of check in, communication- excellent. Some quirky things (lots of jacuzzis and only one pool cue) but more than enough room for four women with two cars. Hot tub was perfect in the cool, damp evenings.
Unfortunately, several things need outright replacing (beds, armchairs upstairs, carpet). We could tell there is a lot of maintenance and care that has gone into this house. Would have been fine for two or three nights but we stayed a full week and found the value wasn't quite there.
Overall, the view and hot tub make it worth a long weekend, without a doubt.

The walk to the beach was easy and awesome!!! I love that each of the rooms have their own bathroom 😍
Unfortunately, the hot tub temp dropped daily and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone to fix it… and one of the tvs wouldn’t connect.

Had a great stay. Almost can't beat the view from the living area and kitchen. Proximity to the beach is a huge plus. Bedrooms are more spacious than pictures portray.

Great Location
The home is spacious and easily accommodated our 6 adults. It is well located close to beach access and downtown Lincoln City. Parking is paved and plenty of room for our 3 vehicles. Bathrooms, kitchen, linens and floors all were clean upon are arrival. All of the necessary amenities were adequate with the exception of laundry detergent. The en-suite baths were a plus for us. Two of the bathes have showers, two of the bathes have only Jacuzzi tubs. There is a full bath on the top level with both jacuzzi and shower. We would give the maid service a 5* Door codes, directions and communication from Vacasa was complete and accurate. Another 5*.
The weather was sunny and pleasant during our stay and we enjoyed cocktails and the view of the ocean from the upper level deck. The hot tub takes up a major portion of the deck area. There were two mismatched plastic chairs for the 6 of us. We hesitated to take the wood dining chairs outside and did not want to carry the wicker chairs from the bedrooms upstairs.
While there are a lot of stairs between levels we did not find this to be a problem. Our group ranged in age from 19 to 79 and did not find them to be difficult or dangerous. We realized there were stairs before our stay and planned accordingly.
I gave the home a 4* for location and space. The home needs a lot of TLC. The interior maintenance is 3*. There are nice hard surfaced floors throughout covered with large well worn, frayed and soiled area rugs. We were greeted by a carpeted, smelly, and heavily soiled entrance stairwell and a sign that asked us to remove our shoes which resulted in damp and dirty socks. Three of the queen beds were very average, the fourth was lumpy and uncomfortable. Chairs in upper level are heavily soiled. Towel hook falling off wall. Lots of minor repairs are needed together with a complete paint job. With regular maintenance the home would be a 5* in our opinion.
Appliances, countertops and cabinets were all as expected and everything worked fine. We had planned our meals to be enjoyed at home and the kitchen furnishings were a disappointment. Most of our meals were precooked and only required warming. The assortment of worn fry pans is a joke and you might want to bring one with you. Plenty of mismatched silverware and dish ware. Glasses are in two’s of every different size and style. Every drawer was full of various knives and repetitive cooking utensils. There is not a pantry, vacant cabinet or drawer so plan to put everything you bring on the counter. The refrigerator/freezer was clean, empty and worked great. We also stored soft drinks and water in the bedroom and game room refrigerators.
While we liked the location and roominess of the home, we will probably explore other homes in the future unless we see major maintenance has been done on this home.

Mixed review
The house was well equipped, but one of the bedrooms had a leaking window. The upstairs bath tub jets don't work, the tvs in the bedrooms don't work with remotes, had to find the 8 ball under the couch. The upstairs fireplace was not turned on to work. Fixed it ourselves. My husband got locked in the bathroom in our room. Also there was construction next door that started at 8 both Friday and Saturday.

Hope you like stairs :-)
Overall the house was wonderful. I loved the gameroom, the fireplaces, the hot tub, the view, and the openness of the kitchen area, but there were a few details that would have made things a little easier. I wish there was access to a broom and dust pan or vacuum. We had a 3 y/o with us and getting up his messes would have been easier with one of those, but overall were very pleased with the house. Close beach access.

Warm and comforting
Could be cleaner. Bedding and floors were clean and wonderful. Game room was a plus. Hot tub had too much chlorine for us personally but could have been necessary. So we utilized the jacuzzi tubs and enjoyed them a lot. Kitchen utensils and knives really need updated. Knives were very dangerous being dull and chuncks missing out of blades.
We would bring our own if we rent again and plan too soon.

Fabulous view in Lincoln City
Well appointed, comfortable house. One highpoint is the deck with hot tub off the kitchen/family room on the top floor. Great view of setting sun from the whole top floor. Our 2nd time in this house & it is great if you want 4 bedrooms; each has its own full bath.

We were not aware of how many stairs there were at this property. We had to go but a baby gate due to the steep stairs. The views were pretty. The house was not very clean lots of crumbs underneath the chairs. The dryer did not work and i was told before we arrived that it would be there a couple days into our stay....We did not pack enough clothes because we planned to just wash them thereMy husband had to take our stuff and wash them at the laundry mat which was a inconvenience and we had to pay for it which was also a inconvenience.. we paid a lot of money a night for this house and it was not worth what we paid.

No working dryer
The third floor view is amazing, and the kitchen design works well. However, the lack of a working dryer (especially for a two week stay) and the need for a deep cleaning lessen the value of the home and our joy at taking a family vacation after two years.

Fabulous Time
We had a fabulous time at this house! Be ready for cardio going up and down the stairs. The house is so fun and you can see and hear the ocean from the top deck. The tubs are AMAZING! The hot tub doesn't keep the heat if you leave the cover off for too long, but still was amazing! My family and I would totally stay here again!

Disappointing!
I way overpaid for four nights at the Harbor Seashell but I wanted to ensure that my family would be comfortable and have a fantastic place to stay for our first vacation in almost two years. I couldn’t believe what I saw when we arrived. The place was ran down and dirty on the outside. My hopes sunk as we went inside, The carpets were stained, walls were filthy, sand and dust everywhere. The living area was unusable. I could not sit down as the furniture was disgusting. Floors were dirty and the counters and tables were sticky. Fridge had left over food and spilt liquids on the bottom of it. Outside deck was dirty having algae growing everywhere and the hot tub appeared to be rotting on the outside. The house stunk and there was sand all over the game room table. We traveled three hours to get here and had to turn around and go home the same day as we received no help to find another place to stay. If that was enough, we had to call for five straight days to get a refund. The owner refunded us half of our payment and stopped taking our calls. Vacasa kept putting on tickets to the owner promising results while allowing this issue to continue. On day five, I called and demanded my full refund. They wanted to return all minus the booking fee after all that we had gone through. What a shame that anyone would have to be treated in this manner. Our summer vacation was ruined and we have nothing to show for it.
