Breakfast was good Staff were friendly Bed comfy

General sense of a tired place which could do with a lot of care and attention to decor and general updating of bedrooms. It was far too warm in the bedrooms with poor ventilation and windows that wouldn’t open properly. Location was probably good re: accessible to Rye but meant very loud during the night as used by large lorries / vehicles to unload,and led to very disrupted sleep.

Breakfast was good. Unfortunately some options weren't available but the quality of what we had was good. Excellent service, staff very friendly and attentive.

Communal door at the top of the stairs leading to the rooms had a tendency to close loudly.

Very good staff and location amongst historical buildings.

It was in an ideal location. The breakfast was possibly the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Towels and toiletries really lovely and the bed was super comfy though it was probably a normal sized double and not the extra large beds we booked.

It was ridiculously hot in one room and the window would only stay open in that room with a block of wood! There was a fan but it was super loud. My friend and I had a very uncomfortable night. The 2 others friends in our group had aircon so a better experience. Our room (the Balfour one) was very dusty too.

On top of what already said the food was 👍

We felt that the carpet and general decor needs a bit of tlc.

Bed was very comfortable but bathroom was tiny. Very clean. Friendly and helpful housekeeping lady.
