This is a family run motel with very friendly and informative owners. It looks like you are pulling into someone's home, but the motel is hidden behind. The room was large and lovely with a full kitchen, and even had a jacuzzi. The beds were super comfortable. The town of Hokatika is a seaside gem with beach walks and colorful rocks. The town is small enough to walk about, but large enough to have all the services available and interesting shops.

Location was ideal. 2 minutes into town . Very friendly and welcoming host. Wished we had stayed longer. Clean, new rooms and everything was perfect.

This is one of our favourite Motels. Very friendly and helpful owners, spacious, well furnished and equipped modern accommodation, well cared for, with a fresh feel to it. We have been twice so far and are likely to use Stopforths Motel again when returning to Hokitika.

definitely the best accommodation we had in West Coast area. Room has all the facilities and necessities you need even a dish washer! Room is very clean and location is close to town centre but on a quiet street. A big park nearby. The host Sonja (forgive me if I spell it wrong lol) was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Very nice hotel room. Lovely and clean. Great furnishings. Softest bed spread ever. Booking.com mix up with description so upgraded to a spa room. So good. Shower lovely also. Parking at door. Pub around the corner.

This property was perfectly equipped and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and all facilities worked well. The bathroom was excellent and the shampoo,conditioner and body wash were of a very good standard. The hosts were informative and friendly.

Very clean room, handy to the town centre of Hokitika. The wild weather lived up to the West Coast's reputation.
