Despite the fact that the hotel is historically known, it was very well renovated with also some characteristics left which makes it very charming.

It was a little bit confusing because the picture and the room didn't look the same. I was expecting a balcony and in the end we got a room without a balcony. Nevertheless we are very satisfied with the modern room and the cute wall paintings.

The staff at Albergo San Martino were friendly and we were given a warm welcome. Our room was comfortable and clean. We were very happy with their restaurant recommendation for dinner. Breakfast is buffet style with lots to choose from. The location is good for exploring Lucca. They happily kept our luggage for us until our departure so that we could explore without bags.

It was all good although perhaps the shower could have been a bit warmer!

The hotel is perfectly located inside Lucca’s city walls. We arrived by train so we had no concerns about parking. For anyone planning to do the Mura Di Lucca parkrun (definitely one of the best) this hotel could not be more convenient. The staff were friendly and eager to please and the room we had was very comfortable.

I liked very much that the breakfast had many local products and you could prepare fresh orange juice by yourself! Also cappuccino was prepared freshly when you were asking for it. The room was very spacious and quiet, and the staff was very polite and willing to help!

The property is walking distance from the train station and was easy to find. Everything in the historic center of Lucca is within walking distance. The hotel had a fantastic continental style breakfast which included the usual meat, cheese, bread, yogurt etc but also offered some of the regional pastries, biscotti etc. The room was spacious, clean and quiet and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfy. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. Very helpful and friendly staff. There is a bar, open to 8pm.

My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have a kettle for tea and coffee in the room.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were happy to speak slowly to help me practise my Italian.

Great location just steps from Plaza San Marcos and many great rest and stores loved the service and breakfast very pretty.

Breakfast was fine . Wish the toaster wasn’t broken. Town is small enough that it was easy to get anywhere . Room was nice size. Had a large armoire.

Albergo San Martino is well situated ..... just a stone's throw from the historical centre and five minutes fast walk from the train station. The rooms are bright, spacious and colourful. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was tasty and abundant. What more could you ask for?
