So the room was well appointed and comfortable (except the pillows). Pool area nice, staff all very polite and helpful. Free airpot shuttles are excellent.

Pillows bad. Not keen on resturant expensive and pretentious not for us, we found better for a quarter the price locally use tripadviser. We were not keen on the location , this not hotels thought of course. Koh lanta is dirty, pavements/streets dirty, beaches plastic all over, rubbish in fields/side of road, such a shame not the idyllic thailand.

Everything it promised. Welcoming, warm yet professional, beautiful location, quite and relaxing. Would definitely recommend. Friendly staff. Good food.

All facilities and room were clean. Staff were warm and friendly. Food at SeaSky was good and reasonably priced. The massage at Linger Longer Spa was excellent with clean facilities.

I loved all of the attention to details in the room. There was a big bowl of fruits when I arrived which I absolutely loved. The staff were sweet and thoughtful. The breakfast was amazing - one of the bests! The gym was great too. It’s a very beautiful resort and my experience was incredibly relaxing. Koh lanta is a small island so you can either walk, get a bike or take a lil tuktuk to get to places. Many restaurants are also near by in walking distance. I will definitely come back and have already recommended it to others.

We came for a relaxing stay and Layana turned out to be a great choice for that! The room was spacious and clean, there were plenty of amenities. The staff was super friendly. We had fresh fruit in our room daily, breakfast was good and the meals in the restaurant were delicious. Watching the sunset with a drink on the beach was spectacular. We tried the spa as well as some of the organised trips, everything was really great. Tiny touches like complimentary insect repelent or staff coming to close our blinds and refill water while we were having dinner ensured we always had a perfect day. We stayed for two weeks and we wouldn't mind staying longer! The location is really nice, amazing beach in front of the hotel, while there's plenty of shops or services within walking distance. If you want to stay in the room, there's room service available with really good meals, and a 4k TV.

Just minor things - the wi-fi in our room wasn't very fast, often we just used cellular connection instead. Sometimes we felt like we had to ask for some things multiple times to get them sorted, but it always worked in the end. There aren't many leisure activities within the resort itself (something like ping-pong, pool table or something you could do in the evening). There is paddle-boarding and a few other water activities available though until 5pm.

Breakfast excellent, staff really attentive and efficient, stunning location and superb beach a very well managed Hotel. No children, a fantastic location to relax in.

We loved our stay here. The entire property is beautiful. It's very peaceful. Pool areas are very nice, the beach is beautiful with plenty of loungers and attentive staff. There's a clean and nicely equipped gym. The food in the restaurant was excellent with both Thai and international options. Also, all of the staff was super friendly and helpful. We would definitely return if we have the chance.

There was actually nothing that we did not like. Everything and everyone were wonderful.

The resort itself is simply stunning and the facilities are exceptionally clean. All the staff are freindly and helpful and a crdit to the organisation. It is expensive though for what it is food and drink are not cheap that said they did appear to be many guests who were repeat attenders

WE were unfortunate enough to have a particularly loud couple allocated the room next door and we found to our cost at 6 am that the soundproofing needs improving

Our family stayed at La Maison villa, We had an absolutely amazing Christmas time in Layana. Beautiful beach, excellent amenities, superior service — simply top notch. They will make you feel like a king! We are a traveled family but you managed to truly top it all.

It's our second time at this resort and it never disappoints. The staff here are incredible, always available and always trying their best to please. There are two swimming pools next to the beach and another one further away. The water is warm in all three of them and there are trees planted next to the two closer to the beach so there's always some shade where you can chill. The staff is available and happy to bring drinks/cocktails to the swimming pool so you can really just enjoy life. The bungalows close to the beach are really nice to stay in and have outside showers and some also have a jacuzzi. They're spacious, comfortable, and modern. The spa and massages are excellent.

I think everything is very good here. It's very hard to beat this place for the same price.

Staff were exceptional, atmosphere was amazing and all staff were extremely attentive from the security to the bar staff to gardeners. Free water and fruit skewer at the pool were a lovely touch.

Price of food and drink at the restaurant was very expensive, even during happy hour, compared to nearby places. Excursions were also extremely expensive compared to other companies

Breakfast was always fresh and tasty and catered well for different tastes.

Superb location right on a fantastic beach. Calm and quiet pool areas (no loud children) and effectively a private beach. Truly excellent service, including constant refilling of chilled water to sunbed dwellers. Magic sunset. Very nice rooms with comfortable beds.

New Years dinner was rather pricey (6000 B) and in parts disappointing as staff had failed to keep some items warm whereas others ran out rather quickly without being refilled.

Summary (9/10) We loved our beach villa stay in Layana Resort and will 100% be back, particularly due to the service Room & Facilities (9/10) We were in one of the property’s three beach villas, which are well worth the extra spend. The bedroom opens out to a private terrace with beautiful beach sunset views. The outdoor rain shower is a wonderful experience. Villas have reserved sunbeds directly in front of them so no morning rush to occupy beds, although there are plenty to go around in any case across both pools (sea water and fresh water) and the beach. Beach is pristine, coral white sand. We did not have time to use the spa as we were diving but it had a broad offering. Generally massages are great value across the island so we’d only really use it if going for a specialised treatment. Restaurant & Bar (7.5/10) There is only one restaurant in the resort, which is set on the beach side. Breakfast was great and offered decent variety. While at breakfast seating is first come, first served (we were up early for diving so no problems) but would recommend reserving dinner tables if you want to be in the first line by the beach. Dinner was generally good (a couple of dishes too garlicky for our taste) and the restaurant offers both local and “Mediterranean” dishes. Expensive (very) versus other offerings on the island, which is probably expected given it’s a 5-star hotel. We saw a couple have a private beach dinner arranged, which looked very romantic for a special occasion. Bar had some creative and well-presented cocktails with a happy hour during sunset. Service (10/10) Personalised service which you only get in boutique hotels with nothing being too big an ask (arranged onward transfer, gave back our scooter rental as we ran out of time, put us in touch with a great diving school “Dive and Relax”). Staff are extremely polite and welcoming.

Everything. The personal touch where most staff knew who you were or which room you were in. Warm welcomes from every staff member - reception, bell boy, gardener, housekeeping, waiters etc. Great food and excellent service. Music on Wednesdays and Saturdays - 2 excellent singers. Most importantly, the rooms are terrific, infinity pools stunning, and the beach wonderful.

At breakfast we constantly had to ask for cutlery. Waiters would come by and clear your plates and cutlery at every opportunity but wouldn't replace your cutlery. Some more foresight needed from breakfast waiters here - another example is that my wife twice ordered boiled eggs but both times they didn't bother bringing a spoon. Nothing major, more just irritating.

Layana is an amazing resort - beautifully kept with large, comfortable rooms, very clean and extremely helpful staff. With easy access to pools, direct access to a beautiful sandy beach and restaurant at the seaside, it's one of the best places we've been.
