Breakfast was good & chance to meet other guests.

Is a little out of the way and unusual to have office and room locations (houses in the instance) separate.

The room and the service was excellent. It was a room with a shared bathroom but a bathrobe and two towels were included. There was a shared kitchen with everything included. People were friendly, and everything was clear.

The breakfast was regular Dutch breakfast in a house setting. It was fine but nothing special like usually in hotels. The room was in a house 50 meters from the check in.

The check-in after 5 pm had to be done at a different hostel which was about 15 mins walk away - this was a bit inconvenient. The room was noisy as the windows and walls were very thin. The cable of one of the lamps was right above one of the pillows and we had to unplug the lamp so that it would not disturb us at night. The beds were a bit too narrow for us. The house where our apartment was located only had one community bath and one toilet. This was not enough for the number of people in the house as the bath was occupied continuously in the morning which delayed us.

It comes up as hotel, which it is not. You cannot stay at the location where it says to be on the map. The frontdoor of the location I had to stay at was locked and could not be opened from the inside without a key. Imagine there being a fire. First waste minutes finding your key before you can evacuate. You might have died already by then. Very unsafe. I then started to look for other measures to rescue yourself.. and have come to the conclusion that the fire department probably didnt check or things have changed after they did as I cannot imagine this being OK-ed. Oh and dont you dare getting up early to enjoy your day to the max. Breakfast is not possible before 9.

Cozy room and unique stay in the city. Clean and well functioning facilities. Friendly staff with quick responses to questions.

Internet in the room was not working unfortunately, and I wasn't able to take advantage of the included breakfast as it only starts at 9 when I had to be at work.

Optimal price-quality ratio. Good location. Everything is simple, clean and convenient. Nice decorated rooms. Tasty breakfasts. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The heating did not work at night and since it was really cold we couldn’t sleep. The rooms were also a bit smaller than expected and weren’t value for money.

the building is quite old, the entrance and the facilities have smell of close space the area can be little bit appearing as unsafe

This was my second stay here; it is the best budget option in Groningen for sure. Clean, simple, easy to get to.

My only problem is that the breakfast is not served until 9 am - that is very late. And every time I am forced to skip it because I have to be in the city by 9. I'd rather have the option to skip paying for it, if I never get the chance to actually eat it.

Amazing staff, very helpful and always available. Good position, near the center but in a residential neighborhood (not many restaurants around). It is also possible to rent a bike and to do the laundry (just ask the reception)

The main downside is that the reception is only open until 5 pm (actually 2pm while I was there), and the breakfast starts at 9 which is not very convenient. They can put it in the fridge if you would like it before 9am but then is really ultra basic (orange juice, some bread and slices of cheese)
