Extraordinary interior - extremely well located - very very clean, beautiful backyard and pool! Great view from the rooms balcony to the mosque the bazar, the castle and the old town center. Extraordinary good breakfast and extremely nice people running the place.

Gorgeous, family run hotel with very friendly owners (who were very kind to my husband with his bad back!). Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast served at the table was of a high quality, with local dishes.Brilliant setting in between the castle and the town.

We had previously told the hotel that we would be on our honeymoon and the staff had decorated our room thoughtfully with rose petals, and gave us a lovely welcome. The staff were incredibly helpful, in particular Veli Tuqi, who offered to help us with any questions we had during our trip and made us feel completely comfortable. The room was spacious and have a lovely balcony with beautiful views. The location is excellent. Delicious breakfast.

Always very happy to come back to Gjirokastra... This time I have chosen Hotel Gjirokastra, as I wanted to be directly in the beautiful old town, few meters from the old bazaar and have all those brilliant views on the local surroundings... Hotel is excellent, room was like for president, staff smiling from ear to ear,♥️ pleasure to look at them all, food absolutely delicious, generous traditional breakfast indeed...🥙🥓🥞 Owners, management and staff have BIG LIKE 👍 from me... Recommending indeed to everyone, I can wait to get back...🤩

Clean, well-maintained & beautiful room decorated in traditional style. Bed is very comfortable. The room also comes with a balcony with lovely views. Great location near to the castle, old Bazaar & many restaurants. Also, makes a good starting point for hiking to the Ali Pasha Bridge. To get to the property, from the bus stop/bus station in the new town, you can take the local Dunavat Bus (40 LEK), let the driver know where you are going & they can stop right outside the Hotel. The people who runs the property are lovely & very accommodating. They helped with my laundry & called to check for bus timings to my next destination (Saranda). Overall, its a wonderful stay!

Nice breakfast, very kind and helpful staff, right in the heart of the city.Our room was amazing, both the decoration and the view were fantastic.

We were transported to another time. The room was big and spacious. It was on the upper floor. Comfortable and good view. Location was excellent as it was just couple of minutes to the old town and a few mins walk up to the castle. The couple who manage the place was very friendly and was the staff in the restaurant. We had some trouble reaching the hotel as the usual road was closed for some work. They guided us on how to reach and met us half way to guide us till the hotel.

Breakfast was basic and they didn’t say what all was included. But what we served was good.

Cute, comfortable, close to the castle, good wifi, excellent traditional breakfast.

Hard to get to by car - we followed Google Maps down some tiny streets where we got blocked and had to backtrack. We weren’t given directions but I think you can ask the hotel for a map. Or if you only have backpacks you can just park in the main lot down by the bazaar and walk up (which is what we ended up doing).
