Location, easy access to city centre

Too hot in the room, can't open the window, room too small, have to sit on the bed at all times but I understand for this price you can't get anything better as Switzerland is expensive

Отличный отель для своей категории. Нужно понимать, что это бюджетный вариант и номера тут очень маленькие, но нам нужен был трехместный, таких предложений по приемлемой цене в Базеле практически нет. Кровати достаточно удобные, верхняя третья кровать для подростка вполне подходит. Выход из душа прямо в комнату, но перегородка душа непрозрачная и можно отгородиться в этот момент шторкой. Вода в кране питьевая. Вообще номер похож на купе поезда)). Окно небольшое у нас был 6 этаж в сторону железной дороги, напротив офис, видно, как люди работают, но и немного вид на крыши и город. Окно не открывается, может оно у нас было закрыто неправильно, но было очень слышно трамваи или поезда, это мешало спать. На первом этаже есть микроволновка и столики, можно поесть. В этом же здании находится гостиница Novotel, там есть бар круглосуточный, можно приятно посидеть. От вокзала дойти пешком 15 мин или проехать 2 остановки на трамвае. До старого города так же можно пару остановок на трамвае, а можно прогуляться. До художественного музея 1 остановка. Самый большой плюс, если ты останавливаешься именно в Базельском отеле (а не рядом во франции) - это BaselCard, её выдают при заселении, она дает право на бесплатный проезд по городу и от/до аэропорта, а ещё 50% скидку на посещение музеев и театров, мы воспользовались, это супер! Персонал очень вежливый и отзывчивый, отлично говорят на английском, французском, немецком, может ещё на каком)). Багаж можно оставить в камере хранения после выселения и тусить налегке до своего поезда, очень удобно.

Easy to to reach the Center with tram w the provided tram card (after an 800 m easy walk from the railway station to hotel). Very basic room w good bed. Separate shower, wash basin and toalet. 24h reseption. Friendly check-in, english spoken.

The location and the staff were both exceptional, have to say that both made this short trip more memorable. Everything is in walking distance and you have everything you need in the hotel or in close distance .

There is honestly nothing that comes into my mind right now. You get what you pay for, actually a little more you pay for.

Nettes und freundliches Personal. Unterkunft ist vom SBB in etwa 10 Gehminuten zu erreichen. Straßenbahnhaltestelle Richtung Zentrum direkt vor dem Hotel. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet - alles vorhanden bis auf Rührei.

Die Lage des Hotels ist direkt an den Gleisen des Hauptbahnhof. Wer hier ruheempfindlich ist, kann vermutlich schwer schlafen. Außerdem sind die Wände des Hotels sind nicht sonderlich dick, sodass man deutlich Personen auf dem Flur hört. Klo auf den Zimmern ist in einer Art Kabine ohne normale Türe, die oben und unten abschließt.

Fijn gelegen nabij treinstation, tram en centrum. Fijn bed en goed ontbijt. Vlotte service en vriendelijk personeel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was available earlier so we were able to check in and rest after our early flight

We weren't informed about that we needed to request the hair dryer during check in, so we had to go downstairs and leave the deposit for it when we needed it.

Good location, clean room, good breakfast. Small room, but for 1-2 nights perfect.

Little bit noisy from the street, windows cannot be open, so no fresh air in the room.

This location is a good alternative to the ibis, a little bit closer to the train station. It’s easily walkable from the main train station in Basel. The pricing on my occasion was very reasonable.

There’s nothing I really dislike about the property, you got exactly what you would expect for the money in Switzerland.

kahvaltıya ödediğimiz para İsviçre tatilimizdeki en mantıklı hareket oldu. kahvaltıda çeşit bol. restoran ambiyansı güzel. ilk defa renkli ve soğuk yumurta yemiş oldum ve şaşırtıcı şekilde iyiydi.

sıcak omlet ya da haşlanmış yumurta eklenebilir. beyaz peynirde belki bir ya da iki farklı çeşit konulabilir.

Personel çok ilgiliydi, yardımseverdi. Basel card'ı vererek şehir turumuzu ücretsiz yapmamızı sağladı. Konum merkeziydi.

The curtain that separates the beds from the shower part. Super inconvenient.

The location because of the tram and train lines was disappointing. Dirty and messy surroundings.

Comfortable room and bed. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Lobby area is comfortable with seating facilities, and places to work. There are vending machines providing a nice assortment of snacks, salads, sandwiches and drinks. These vending machines are new and the concept is a bit strange whereby a deposit is taken. So even if you take only a small snack, you get charged over 20 Euro and then reimbursed after, which is very confusing. Also no receipts are provided for charges so you are unable to verify charges. So the vending machine situation can be improved.

The rooms were very stuffy, it is not possible to open the window, and the air conditioning did not work. Also the shower water temperature fluctuated from ice cold to scalding hot (dangerous)!

room was clean but very small. good wi-fi signal. breakfast was good and the location was great - 5 minutes to the tram station and 1 stop to the train station/center! a little noisy because of the traffic and the railway next door, but bearable because it was quite quiet at night. changed the room twice because the first one had a view at other rooms and changed the room the second time because the lights it the toilet didn't work.

very small rooms. i get it that it's a budget hotel, but too budget. the windows didn't open an you must ask for the window handle at the reception to open the window. also the window didn't close correctly and there was a little noise coming from outside.
