This is a beautiful hotel with very large and comfortable rooms. Great bathroom. We had a balcony as we were looking over the pool. Breakfast buffet was delicious and dinner buffet was good if you like to eat dinner that way! Comfortable lounge to have coffee or light meals. The pool is huge and looks beautiful but it is very cold. Spa facilities are also beautiful.

massages were good, food okay, nice pool facilities; from t desk personnel were very helpful and friendly

upcharge on massage without asking was NOT okay, and neither was the masseuse that followed me to my room for a tip -- that is NEVER okay! And, for a 5 star hotel, the restaurant buffet was lacking as was the service of wait staff who were pretty inattentive. Beds were pretty uncomfortable

Great Location, very helpful and friendly staff.

I was in room 340 for the first night but had to move to another wing of the hotel due to a ver noisy H-vac fan noise close to the room. I then moved to room 224 but there was quite a strong damp smell in the room.

Rooms and service are great. Rooms slightly dated, but comfortable. Spa is amazing.

Gym is a bit rough. Broken dumbbells and didn’t feel or look “clean”. Food is very overpriced.

I liked everything the compound the breakfast and the staff are so friendly specially staff in ghe restaurant, however room service is poor I wanted coffee capsules that were not in gge room and I had to call four times before someone arrived with just two capsules after three hours waiting, I found this unacceptable from a high standard hotel like Serena, this of course will not stop me from coming back but just commenting for improvement,

Parking

In general, a lovely place to spend a weekend away. Great breakfast, lovely outdoor/pool area, well-equipped fitness center and spa. An easy walk from the CBD and other sites of interest. Staff were friendly and welcoming

The facilities are showing their age, down to things like door closures, light switches, etc. Other than a few broken items (door locks in the women's changing room, etc.), there was nothing major, but it did take away from the feel of being in a 5 star hotel. The biggest issue is that, the day I left, people started arriving for the FIFA congress, and the hotel shifted to fully focus on that. The cleaning staff mixed up the rooms, and came into my room at 2 AM and put the lights on. Clearly not a great way to wake up! After not having slept well, I didn't want to make a fuss at checkout, but that plus the fact that I got the clear impression that staff were trying to get me out so that they could turn over the room, put a real damper on the end of my trip. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay here again, but I would definitely advise checking if any big conferences or meetings are scheduled for right after your stay.
