Nice olde worlde pub and room to match, access through a quaint narrow windy staircase - which would not suit less mobile people.. Very friendly staff, good beer. Bathroom was nice size and the bed very comfortable. Good parking available.

Lack of cooked breakfast option was disappointing, reasonable continental breakfast on offer. Curiously no wardrobe or chest of draws in the room so limited space for hanging clothes.

Wi didn’t work the food is very over priced 2 steak burgers and chips and one soft drink 45 pounds also wasn’t told guests could get dinner for 16 pounds room was very small and difficult to close door and lock it also difficult to get to the room up small stairs and then up more small stairs like into an attic

Helpful arrangements for a late arrival.

I arrived VERY late, and they could not have done more for me, despite not being a 24 hour Inn. A proper bath, enabling a great relaxing soak in the morning. very comfy bed

Extremely rude owner, Paid extra to be in the "Queen room" - no 1. Located directly above the walk in fridge from the pub downstairs and has a constant droning noise + vibration, it's horrendous and kept me up all night how they think this is acceptable is beyond me.

Room was a decent size. Good shower. Wifi worked ok. Food in the bar/restaurant is ok.

I booked this place in part because of the very positive reviews on booking.com, but the reality did not match them. It closes on Sunday afternoon, so if you arrive on Sunday evening, there are no food or drink options available. My 'deluxe King suite' had no wardrobe or space to hang clothes other than a single hook in the wall. There was one upright chair and a tiny table, but no easy chair. Housekeeping is minimal; beds get made and towels are changed, BUT bins are not emptied, bathroom supplies are not replenished, and used cups or glasses are often left and not replaced. Breakfast is an unstaffed DIY affair; there is a very limited range of choices, and on two out of three mornings, the electricity tripped out, which meant that the kettle and toaster (and internet) stopped working (make sure you have the phone no for the landlord so you can get the power reset).

The food is amazing. The staff are great and you always meet very friendly people there!
