Location. Breakfast made by Bwalesshar.
A lot of creepy images hanging from the wall. My child got really afraid. After requesting Bwalesshar, he removed a few. Still there were a lot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sajni is an ideal host. Her place provides everything you would need as a home base to explore Calcutta. It is centrally located in a very nice building. The bed was comfortable and the AC was powerful. She always had cold-filtered water available for her guests. And she also provided a very good breakfast. Since the room we stayed in was inside her apartment, we met and talked with her several times. And she was always helpful with suggestions and asking if we needed anything. She has a very nice cook who made us excellent breakfast. We look forward to staying here again next time we are in Calcutta. My wish is to make a trip to Calcutta exclusively to stay with her and experience the city at a slower pace.

The moment we entered we fell in love with the place, from the choice of fabric to the paintings hanging on the walls was overwhelming. From the moment we meet her the amount of love and care she showed to us has no words to describe. By the end of the trip, it started to feel that we are part of her family. she made sure we had all the famous food and sweets around her area. she also took us to the famous kali mata mandir. we recommend this place to all travelers who want to feel at home in Kolkata. we love you Sajni aunty :)

This home is so lovely and comfortable and is perfectly located. The owner is a bright and gracious host with impeccable taste. And Baleshwar took great care of us and even offered to wash our clothes. It was a treat to stay here!

Centrally located on Park Street, yet in a quiet ally. Our host, Sajni was very warm and helpful to ensure that our stay was comfortable in every respect. She even arranged Bengali Sweets in our breakfast, which was really 'sweet' of her.
The room, bathroom, linen - all squeaky clean!
The help-cum-cook Baleshwar made sure that we had a hot breakfast every morning, a different menu each day. His Luchi-Sabji aced the pack.
Lots of good eating places within a few minutes walk. Easy metro access within a few hundred meters walk. We love walking so reaching the old central parts of the city on foot was a 10~20 minutes thing for us.
Overall, a very comfortable stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or revisit.

The location and breakfast
The over-friendliness of the staff member was off-putting and made me very uncomfortable. The bath water had black sediments in them. The towels were not clean and the wardrobe had a musty smell.

The property is very well maintained. Sajni Ma'am is a wonderful host and Baleshwar ji, the caretaker, is an amazing support. He was always checking on us about what we needed. It felt like home.

This place is a hidden gem with warm hospitality and excellent location near Park St. It was quiet in spite of all the activity, music and lights of Diwali one street over and within walking distance of good shopping and variety of good restaurants! Sajni hosted us so well, giving us great suggestions for food and shopping … and served delicious home cooked breakfasts prepared by Baleshwa who was also very attentive to our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! thx

The homestay is located in a prime location with all the basic amenities and a cook who makes delicious food. The host was gracious enough to suggest places for our work and the helper was extremely helpful from the beginning to the end.

Everything was perfect! We were hosted like we were in a family. They agreed on earlier check in, welcomed us with a rich breakfast, suggested us what to visit and where to eat. Rooms were cleaned perfectly, as I hadn’t seen in India before. In each room there is a TV with Netflix. The servant in the house was kind and nice.

Sajni's place was very clean, well located, quiet, tastefully furnished, and comfortable. We enjoyed her friendly and gracious hosting, her helpfulness, and her cook was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed his cooking, authentic Bengali dishes, the wifi was good, and we had access to Netflix. I shall recommend her to my friends, definitely.

If you are looking to stay in a central yet posh locality, look no further. You will get a room in an astonishingly beautifully built 3BHK. The owner aunty stays together and she leave no stones unturned to go out of her way and help you out. She is one of the sweetest host and will ensure you have all the comfort while you are around.
It would be unfair if I don’t mention about Baleshwar Bhaia, the caretaker. He is a gem and cooks amazing food. And when I say amazing, I mean AMAZING!!! He was superbly helpful and will make you feel like home.

It was a very comfy stay in a very secured and homely apartment. My three year old daughter loved the spacious room. We particularly loved the bonus netflix, hotstar. Starbucks, Hardrock Cafe, Arsalan, BBQ Nation, Mocambo, Ballaram Mullick, Koshe Kosha are just walking distance away so is New Market if u choose to do some shopping.
The owner Sajni is a friendly lady who is always eager to help you. The caretaker Baleshwarji cooked baby food for our daughter every day ( lunch + dinner) and Sajni even refused to charge for it ( so sweet of her!). Also Baleshwarji cookes very tasty mutton curry ( Price Rs. 450/- pax)- a must try.
Nothing to dislike. Tell your cab driver to go inside the small lane adjacent to Park Street Post Office. The apartment is after the Jewish Girls School in the end.
