The location of the hotel is good. The organization of the hotel for the Canton Fair was good. The shuttle bus service was good. The breakfast was okay.My room's view was nice.
My room was old and old-fashion decorated. The lightening was not enough. The walls of the room was dark color so it also affected the room negatively. There was a construction in front of the hotel which generated noise.Wi-fi was not so good.According to what I paid it should be more comfortable.

Good location, great pool. Ordered food and it was delivered by a robot.
I requested a non smoking room. I arrived and was given a smoking room. I could not sleep the 1st night and my face and nose were itchy.

So close to the metro and near a nice restaurant lunch/dinner restaurant called the Happy Monk.
Double glazing windows. No smoking floors. Guests were not noisy or irresponsible. It was a quiet sleep. Curtains thick.
Free water everywhere! Gym was good.
Price is cheaper than the usual mid/high-tier hotels in GZ.
The fridge isn't cold. It didn't work. This is a massive NO for me especially as I stayed here for nearly two weeks. I just want to wake up and have a cold glass of orange juice. I can't. That's such a bad call from the hotel. I tried asking to make it cold but they said they couldn't.
When you press the Do Not Disturb button, the housekeeping will disturb you whether you like it or not. They'll call the phone (which is loud enough to destroy the eardrums of a small child) and ask whether you want housekeeping. I pressed the DND button, maybe... you'd think... NO. I just want to be in bed eating chocolates or I might be napping. I don't want nuclear sirens going off in my roo.
So much staff, feels like you're being watched. Literally about 8-10 people all watching you come in all the time. Police by the lift in the evening. I would hate to be single and try and bring a guy/girl back (depending on your sexual preference) to your hotel for the night. You'd be reprimanded for doing so I would guess. Is this because of the reputation Taojin used to have?

Although the Metro station wasn't the best positioned, we did appreciate that the station entrance was right outside the hotel compounds. The staff were polite, service was brisk if we requested anything, and our room was upgraded (thanks!) Although we arrived in the middle of the night at almost 3am, reception desk was well-staffed and helpful with what we needed.
Spacious room, with a desk complete with full set of stationery. Bath tub and showers had good water pressure and heated water. Housekeeping was always immaculate.
Taojin Metro was right outside our hotel. That was awesome, but also when you travel a little, you realize that Taojin is in a very awkward place and you have to change lines (multiple times at times) to get anywhere at all.
The pillows were all either too hard or too soft, but this is a personal preference. We tried three or four types of pillows and none of them were perfect, sadly.
TV in our room 1609 intermittently switch off by itself. Small problem though, as it would come back on after a minute or so.
