Nothing.
Nothing about the room was good. It was room 25 in the outbuildings (separate from the main house). It was the most uninviting room I have ever stayed in. Cold water tap only in the toilet. Frontage was all glass so, in the absence of a towelling robe, we had to keep the blinds down whilst showering, dressing, going to bed and getting up in the morning.
The card in the room stated there was 2 coffee pods and 2 teabags in the room. There was only 1 teabag. When we asked for more, we were allowed 1. Any more would be charged at 50 cents!!!!!!! No milk in the room and when I asked for it I was told I had to go and fetch it myself from reception. I thought I was staying in a chateau but the room we were in felt like a hostel.

L'accueil et la chambre, c'était très bien.
Le cadre est idyllique et sûrement très beau en été.
L'acompte a verser à l'arrivée.
Le petit-déjeuner: pas de lait (chaud ou froid), pas d'eau chaude pour le thé, pas d'œuf et personne à l'accueil pour palier à ces absences.
Pas de réponse à mon mail expliquant ces manquements.
Et le personnel d'accueil pourrait avoir une tenue digne d'un 4 étoiles.

הרגשה מאוד לא נעימה בקבלה. עם הגעתינו, ברכנו בשלום עם חיוך, המנהלת/ הבעלים יצאה מאחורה ושאלה אם יש בעיה. כבר נתנה הרגשה לא נעימה. לאחר מכן למרות שנתנו כרטיס אשראי עם הזמנת החדר בבוקינג, המקום דרש מאיתנו לשלם ערבות שתבוטל עם יציאתינו. ההרגשה הכללית וטון הדיבור בקבלה היה ממש לא נעים

The property was peaceful and the grounds were lovely. We only spent one night, and didn't spend a lot of time at the property, but I could see it being a relaxing place to visit for a few days.
While the bed was fine, the pillows were not very comfortable (which is pretty normal for hotels).

Beautiful situation, gardens and building. Room lovely with high ceilings, big windows and traditional decoration. Very comfortable, fluffy bath robes and slippers provided. Good wifi. Staff helpful at check in and whenever contacted. Easy walk into Bayeux centre and museums.
Breakfast and dinner - food and service slightly lower quality than the buildings and situation. Bath towels could be bigger and thicker, to be in line with the quality of the room.

It was so beautiful! We regretted our stay was so short, but definitely want to return and stay longer :)
It was somewhat difficult to converse French/English….but not enough to even mention :)

Beautiful country chateau. Very clean. Very professional and courteous staff. Excellent food in the chateau’s restaurant. Great location in Bayeux - can walk to the center of town.

It is a beautiful Chateau with amazing activities for families, even in the winter! there were soccer nets and balls, and a tennis court with rackets, that my son loved. we stayed I. the family suite and it was magical with its views of the chateau and grounds and so much space! Beds were comfortable. We took others suggestions and ate dinner in town (very close by car or on foot) and then enjoyed the a la carte breakfast at the Chateau - fun to make our own pancakes!

A gorgeous hotel with excellent services and staff.
From the moment we arrived the receptionist was helpful and the team made suggestions of restaurants to visit.
The room was pristine and the whole place was magical.
Definitely a place to come back.

I loved the staff, the food, and the lodging was beautiful and well situated close to the city center but in a very quiet area. The setting and the facilities are truly beautiful. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly.
The bathroom where we stayed in the renovated 'stables' is a lovely design but in desperate need of a complete renovation/repair. There was water damage/rotted wood everywhere from water exposure. While it was very convenient to have a place to shower upstairs and downstairs, there was only one toilet downstairs to service an entire family of five which made it very inconvenient. Lastly, the beds were incredibly, and I mean INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. For the price I figured there would be good European style down or, at the very least foam/memory foam beds. The box springs did not make for a restful sleep.

it was majestic! the rooms are exceptional. the property is huge with their own lawns. in plain and simple words it was just Beautiful!!!

Honestly, the value of the room and stay was unexplainably outstanding. I understand we went in “off season” however, we would go time and time again. The room was absolutely wonderful. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was so pleasant and helpful with all of our questions about the area. Everything was perfect.
