The house was very roomy. plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Recreation room, sitting room off of dining room and kitchen, all had TVs. Outside deck, lanai, small dock and bench at the pond, fenced in pool. It was great for us since we just wanted to relax! We will be back next year ! Thank you Jennifer!

My family and I rented two of Jennifer’s properties for the weekend. They were fantastic as we could get back and forth between over a foot bridge by the water. She was a fantastic host, the house was spotless and had everything you could ever need for a fun vacation on the water including any game you could dream up to help pass a rainy evening! We’ve already talked about booking these houses again!

We had a multi-generational family gathering and the house worked out perfectly for us. The two sides of the house provided separation, spacious living room was great for adult socializing, while basement was a favorite entertainment space for teenagers. Nice kitchen and big dining table were perfect for us. The house was very clean and comfortable. The house is located close to excellent hiking trails and other outdoor activities. The owner responded quickly to all messages and accomdated all our requests.

The house is even nicer than pictured. Very private yard. Everything was extremely clean, including the pool. Wonderful deck and screened porch. There isn't too much around, but that was fine with us. The pond is a little scummy by the dock - you have to paddle to a floating dock to swim. And it was challenging to get the kayaks/canoe into the water for us. No handles on the kayaks, canoe is heavy, have to carry them down steps to a moving dock, and we are all over 60. Communication with the owner was poor both before and after we were there, but very good while we were there. We let her know that a drawer was broken, and someone was there to fix it that day. Overall it was great and we already booked for next year.

It was an awesome vacation. We will definitely be back!! There is no need to leave the property. There is a private pool, lake access, a gym in walking distance, and a nice private yard for the kids to play soccer and the dogs to run around. However, if you must leave the grocery store is only 15 min away (and has everything you need). Also, Taconic State Park is not far either and has a beach with a snack bar, which is great for the kids. We had movie night every night in the spacious living room. There are two full refrigerators that were very helpful. The screened in porch was so relaxing and useful. We look forward to another great vacation at this property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Plenty of space to spread out (the kids loved hanging out in the basement). All of us enjoyed splashing and floating in the pool. We took day trips to Bish Bash Falls as well as Catamount to check out their ropes course. This is an excellent property for multiple families with children.

Family trip
We had a great vacation for an extended family trip. Beautiful area of NY. Outside areas of the house are lovely with lots of yard, a well maintained and private pool area, nice firepit and plenty of outdoor furniture. If you are not satisfied to stay at the property there are activities in the area. We spent several evenings at the fire pit and many hours in the pool. The bushes outside the deck and around the pool would benefit from a trim and the downstairs area needs some updating. Aside from those minor comments the property is as represented and the manager is responsive. We really enjoyed our vacation.

Hudson Valley Home
Our family had a wonderful time during our stay in this Copake home. We enjoyed kayaking, and the tennis courts. We saw eagles fishing in the waters and flying over the house. There is a lovely patio with a gas grill. We had a small problem with a broken coffee carafe on our first day, that Jennifer remedied right away. She also made sure that we had wood for a fire in the fireplace, access to the kayaks and tennis equipment.
We enjoyed visiting the small towns nearby and the many local diners in the area. A hike to nearby Bash Bish falls was icing on the cake.

Amazing property!
We spent a long weekend at this beautiful property with a group of friends. The house is spacious and comfortable, extremely clean and with an amazing view on the lake. It’s actually much nicer than the pictures and there is a tennis court (shared with a few other houses) + canoe and kayak to enjoy the lake! Very smooth communication with Jenifer who was kind enough to give us a very late checkout on Sunday night.
We are looking forward to returning to this house and I can’t recommend it enough.

Grown ups reliving summer camp
We traveled with another couple while our kids were at sleep away camp. The property did not disappoint. We each had a large private room and bathroom (2 full masters) and the wifi was strong so we could work a little when we had to. The pool is just steps out of the house and very quiet. The lake is wonderfully serene. My husband and I canoed around from shore to shore without a care in the world. My friend (the wife in the other couple) and I took walks around the neighborhood every morning - route 7 wasn't very busy at all so we walked on the shoulder about a mile to farm roads. Restaurants are at least a 15 min drive (which is fine) but the kitchen was great the night we cooked - all the pots and pans we needed to cook :)

Summer 2021
The property is beautiful and the lake and pool are absolutely wonderful for avid swimmers. The house is very comfortable and spacious. This was our second summer in the house and we have already reserved for next summer. The house could use a little sprucing up as it seems a bit worn. The kitchen was somewhat sparsely outfitted but the property manager was very responsive when I requested some additional kitchen items. There are a few other items that are needed. I was not able to get the broiler working so repair would be helpful. Even with these few shortcomings our stay was delightful.

Peaceful Getaway
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. There was something for everyone; relaxing on the sunny deck, shaded porch, playing in the pool or on the pond. It was a perfect little getaway. Close to towns for restaurants and shopping or visits to local parks. Truly, it was difficult to leave.

Great House Great Location
The house was larger than I expected. The bedrooms were a generous size and the layout was perfect for families with children. The location was also perfect and the views of the lake are beautiful. Looking forward to going back!

Family paradise
My party was 4 adults (two couples), 3 kids (5, 5 and 2) and a dog. Everyone had an amazing time. There was ample space, extremely comfortable couches and beds, and countless amenities for a family with kids (ping pong, air hockey, and a beautiful backyard and lake). In addition, our host was responsive and helpful in all communications. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Jenifer’s home and hope to again in the future.

Perfect Holiday Stay
We had an excellent experience. The lakeside backyard was wonderful for morning coffee, the kitchen was spacious and well equipped for our Thanksgiving feast! You god loved the big backyard to run around in, the beds and couches were nice and comfortable! We loved having the fireplace while we relaxed after dinner, or going downstairs to watch tv and play games by the bar. Jenifer was incredibly responsive and helpful during our stay as well. Five stars, it was much more room than we needed but would definitely return for another stay!!

Heaven
We stayed here for the month and fell in love with the house, the property and the area. The house itself is HUGE and ridiculously equipped. The lake is beautiful and calming . We did cocktails on the dock every night and used the kayaks and canoe. The heated pool was a godsend. My husband and I did laps every day. And the house manage- Jenifer - was just so nice and so responsive. I can't find one thing to complain about except having to leave

Great house for relaxing by the pool or lake
We had a great time! House was clean and just as listed. The house manager was responsive and very attentive to our needs/questions. My family very much enjoyed the pool, lake and game area in the basement. The kitchen was well stocked with pans/dishes/utensils etc. We will be back!!

Beautiful and peaceful getaway
This property does have it all- waterfront with kayaks and canoe, a pool, a beautiful yard and a spacious home with deck and screened in porch. Also tennis and basketball access in neighborhood. And ping pong table in basement. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend the property. Well managed, so comfortable and fun!

Great relaxing stay immersed in nature
We had a wonderful relaxing time at this property. The bathrooms and kitchen are dated but well equipped with everything you need for cooking for lots of family and friends. The beds were comfortable and there is a ton of space for everyone to hang out together or separately. The deck has plenty of chairs and the pool area had 4 loungers plus a double lounger bed and more chairs. The lake access was not something that had mattered to us when we rented but ended up being something we enjoyed everyday with the kayak, canoe and life jackets provided. There is also a hammock and fire pit in the backyard. We used the community tennis court down the road which has a basketball hoop. The shed there has rackets, balls, a mini fridge and even a ball machine! The only thing that took a minute for us city folk to get used to was the amount of wildlife around. The owner was very nice and informative. Would love to come back when it’s cooler so we can use the fireplace. Great stay!

Fun Family Stay
House is great. Pool was great for the warm days, and kayaking and canoeing on the pond was fun for everyone. Evenings by the fire pit were a great way to wind down the day. Nobody wanted to leave!

Long Ski Weekend with 3 Families
This property was perfect for us. We stayed over President's day weekend and went skiing at Catamount. The house was perfect for us and we hope to stay again in the summer when we can take advantage of the pool and the lake! The basement with ping pong table and air hockey was perfect for the bunch of kids/teens traveling with us. The adults loved the large sectional couch in front of the fireplace especially after a long day of skiing. Jennifer was VERY responsive to us when we initially had trouble getting heat working on one side of the house-which she fixed. The area is wonderful with fantastic little shops and markets with great coffee and I'm sure there are many more during the summer months when the produce is being harvested. All in all, it was wonderful. My 9 year old cried on the way home because he didn't want to leave.

Great weekend, house was as expected
We had a great stay at the property for the weekend. The proximity to the lake was fantastic and it was very beautiful. The house was as described/pictured and we found everything we needed and it was clean and comfortable. The property manager was helpful in making suggestions on where to eat and shop!

Excellent experience
The property was well maintained. Communication with the manager was excellent. Would love to stay again if visiting the Copake / Millerton area. The property is not on Copake but a nearby smaller lake. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice Family Vacation
Nice grounds with lovely deck, pool and outdoor space. Pool area is great for lounging and watching kids enjoy. Extremely comfortable for three families (grandparents and two families with children). Swimming in the lake requires taking a kayak or canoe to get beyond the weeds and muck. The deck accommodated everyone nicely for dinner. Living room area is very comfortable with adequate seating for everyone.
We would have appreciated better communication from property manager regarding some aspects of the house, like the pool heater and the possibility of power outages which occurred. There were no batteries, flashlights or candles on hand.
All that said, it is a nice house for a large group (which is not easy ro find) and we enjoyed our stay.

Renter BEWARE - Owner will SCAM you for damages
The house is nice, but beware of the owner charging you for damages.
Owner is withholding security deposit claiming that we have broken pool water heater. How does one break pool water heater? I'm still trying to figure this out.....
We moved in on Saturday. Water was cold in the pool, so I moved thermostat button from 74 to 78. Nothing changed.
On Sunday owner texted me that "pool people" were not able to come on Saturday and will come on Sunday to clean the pool.
When we moved out on Tuesday, I called the owner to inform that one of the vases is broken and put back together on the edge of the stand. Owner informed me that pool heater is broken.
Now I wonder if "pool people's" inability to come on the day of check-in is a "co-incident", because they would have to say right away that pool heater is broken on the day we moved in.
As a proof of me breaking pool heater, owner provided invoice for the repair and a picture of non-functioning heater. She claims I tempered with pool heater.
I asked the owner for some proof that I broke or tempered with it. There are cameras outside and one does point to the pool area, I asked if she can provide a picture or something more meaningful. She stopped responding to me.
We had a family of 4 adults, 3 teenagers and 1 child. Who comes to a rental property to temper with pool heater?
VRBO/HomeAway so far considering repair invoice and picture of a broken heater as enough proof that I was the one who broke it. Interesting position. They also suggested I should have checked all the functionality and report anything that doesn't work then I checked in. Fair statement - so, if you do plan to rent this house, make sure you check everything - HVAC, pool heater, make sure all vases and fixtures are intact, all appliances.
But perhaps the owner can still figure something else out to keep your deposit.
