Loved breakfast. Was ready when we came.

D’Olyfboom is situated among vineyards at the outskirts of Paarl and 500m from the main road, so it is very quiet. The rooms have nice decks with stunning views over the Paarl valley (Paarl itself is quite a boring town, but a good base from which to visit the wine estates). The rooms are very tastefully decorated and spacious and have all facilities. Beds are very large and comfortable. Wifi works well. Coffee is quite good for a hotel. You can park your car near the room within a locked area that you can open yourself with a provided key (although the SA electricity load shedding can interfere with this). The estate with 5 units is not permanently staffed, but one can phone for help. The lady who runs it is friendly, but seems very busy.

Breakfast is somewhat sparse, as one has to choose beforehand between 3 mutually exclusive options.

I made a booking for two single beds per room, and this wasn't done. Also, the staff wasn't very happy to assist with preparing the room with single beds when we arrived. The coffee machine in my room wasn't working, and we had to wait for coffee during breakfast. But the place is really nice and comfortable.

The room was elegant, tasteful, and luxurious, with all kinds of small touches that made us feel welcome and cozy. The staff was very accommodating and even let us check in early. The views of the vineyard and mountains were absolutely stunning. It was the perfect place to relax and feel like we didn’t have to worry about anything!

The bed was super comfortable, and the room and the bathroom were large and well decorated. The cleaning staff and the breakfast staff were excellent.

The room was cold and at times uncomfortably very cold, I tried to advise the lady in charge but she said it was because of load shedding. However if that is the case, please can you look at getting gas heaters, that would have really been great.

Delightful boutique room in a row of several similar rooms on a farm on the residential outskirts of Paarl. The room was large and well equipped. Debbie the manager met us on arrival and showed us around. Big bathroom, good shower. We drove to a nearby restaurant but could have walked if it wasn't raining. Breakfast in a nearby building was plentiful and tasty. The swimming pool behind the apartments looked inviting but we didn't get a chance to use it.

The glass door to the toilet was a bit disconcerting. I kept walking into it thinking there was no door!

Great stay for a weekend getaway in Paarl. Spacious rooms, great views, clean, flexible check-in. Give it a try!!
