A short walk from the main drag, this house was comfortable and clean, perfect for a group attending an event.

The red bin was full, and the bottles in the recycle bin looked very dusty, perhaps the last bin day was missed? (or the last group made loads of rubbish)

A well maintained property in an amazing location within walking distance to the main areas of Lake Tekapo. Staff at Discover Tekapo were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this property to anyone!

⭐️ Location: 10 out of 10! Wonderful scenery and super convenient! During the day, we can see the lake and the mountains from the balcony; at night, we can see a sky full of stars and the Milky Way without much light pollution; in addition, it is close to the intercity bus stop, the supermarket, Lake Tekapo Petting Zoo, Petronella’s Gallery and Bookstore, Discover Tekapo Accommodation Office, restaurants, and of course, Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd. ⭐️The windows and the brightness of the house: 100 out of 10!! The house was so bright and breezy when the windows are opened during daytime that we didn’t need to turn on any light and air conditioning at all. ⭐️The air conditioner: 10 out of 10! The air conditioning system functioned perfectly well, it can reach the perfect temperature in a short period of time, giving the house warmth on freezing cold nights, and cool air on super hot and sunny days. ⭐️The number of bedrooms: Each of my family members get to have their own room, which is awesome! ⭐️The price: Reasonable! Thank you so much! 🥰

🔸Some of the facilities didn’t work very well, such as most of the buttons on the microwave, and two of the burners of the stove. In addition, the door of the shared toilet was missing a lock. 🔸Some of the items in the property were not very clean, such as the dish drying rack, the sponges in the kitchen, and one of the blankets in the bedroom with bunk beds.

We had a great stay at Shepherd's view. Pictures don't do justice...the place was very clean and convenient. The host had thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The beds were also comfortable. The deck was great and we even got to stargaze and see the milky way from the deck...just amazing!! Our interactions with the discover tekapo team were seamless and very prompt. Highly recommend the team and the place:) Thanks Discover Tekapo for a wonderful accommodation.
