no aircon in the bedroom but we had a fan and the apartment faces a park so even in 40 degree heat it was fine.

Quiet noisy in the nights , so difficult to sleep. The bed is great the sofa bed is very cheap and uncomfortable, the kitchen is very minimal equipped. Good if you stay 2-3 nights but if you stay longer not enough equipment

The apartment is located in the heart of Almaty's cultural and largely pedestranised area with excellent choice of restaurants, coffee shops and many many fountains that make the summer stay particularly pleasant. The Stolichny supermarket is just across the road with great choice of groceries and what is not. As a family of four with small children we loved the excellently equipped and spacious apartment that allowed us to blend into the city life but yet to have a home away from home and to enjoy the advantages of regular cleaning services provided by the host. The apart-hotel's owner was fully hands on, easy to reach at any point of time and all our requests were promptly addressed and responded to. A small note regarding the apartment block - dont be put off by the soviet era entrance hall, this is a typical "Stalin" era build which is in fact quite grand and robust, once the common entrance is passed the apartment itself is modern and fresh with all the amenities required including air-conditioning, lovely kitchen nook and spacious bathrooms with a washing machine. Fabulous experience all in all.

Opera Apartments are great; everything needed for an independent stay is provided. Apartment is modern, clean & safe. Location is outstanding. Highly recommend it - if I return to Almaty, which I really hope to one day, I'll book again.

communication with the host prior to arrival was very poor. I repeatedly (3 times) asked for the payment to be made prior to my arrival (2 to 3 mths prior to arriving!) & I didn't get a reply to any of my emails & needless to say the payment wasn't taken. Ultimately I ended up paying more than the australian dollar quoted price on booking.com because of the exchange rate. I have since been told by the host there are sometimes a problems with remote payments in kazakhstan - well that is what he said. However I doubt this because as soon as I said I wouldn't pay cash the payment on my card was immediate. When I travel I like to pay everything in advance, before I go: Opera did not reply to my emails until 2 wks prior to my arrival, even though I booked 3 mths in advance & repeatedly asked for them to debit my account before my departure. When they eventually replied (10 days before my departure from australia) it was only to confirm my reservation. They also made excuses & tried to justify their lack of communication because of their busy season: everyone has busy seasons, its the hospitality industry for heavens sake! - it's not hard to take 1 minute to reply to an email: after all that is your job! The end result is I will never book again with a place that I can't make a direct immediate payment when I book.

Beautiful settings, execellent location

Absolutely wonderful apartment in one of the best locations in Almaty. Very close to the most interesting places (within walking distance) and in the pedestrian area with fountain right across the terrace. Modern, perfectly furnished. Big living room, excellent bathroom, comfortable bed. Very clean…With regards to apartment everything is top!

Not easy to find, and even when you contact the host and say “I am 90 meters from you in front of flower shop x” he does not know where it is?! And if you ask for help for transport to another city he knows no agency no taxi… nothing. In one sentence: he is polite but useless… Sorry for being so critical but in a new city you expect a minimum of assistance. I will however not take this into account when rating as both the apartment and notably the city exceeded my expectations.

Location can't be beat. Within a 2-3 mile there-and-back walk, you can get to a hundred restaurants, cafes, malls, parks, and tourist sites like Zenkov's cathedral. The apt. was perfect for our small family with young kids - it was literally right above a French cafe. We'll stay here every time we come to town.

Great location, very clean apartments, swift communication with the owner. Even though we booked one apartment for 3-4 persons, due to short notice emergency it became unavailable. The owner instead provided us with two apartments for the same price, both of them were equally excellent. We were even able to check-in an hour prior to usual check-in time of 14:00.

We stayed there for 4 nights. The location is very accessible to the city. The apartment is cozy, comfortable and clean. The staff and management of the apartment was very Cooperative and professional. The overall experience was pleasant except for some points.

There are problems with water because it was drying the skin. Also the water tap find difficult to regulate. Washing with warm water can change dramatically and become hot or cold. There are no disposable bags. Also there are no basic amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, conditioner. It was inconvenient to open the barrier. You need to go outside to open for the car. It's not safe especially for girls to do this at night. For the kitchen, they could have included tea bags and some little sugar packs. Another important point is there is no reception or security, the staff will be working from 9am to 6pm. My flight arrival was early in the morning and the check in was not possible at that earlier time. It may have become an unpleasant arrival, if they didn't allow my fiancee to come and stay before my arrival.

perfect location close to all places of interest. incredible newly furnished stylish flat with all the necessary equipment. smooth check in check out process. host happily accommodated special requests eg radiator, early check in, late check out.

Easy checkin, checkout and overall communication with Alibek, perfect location, great value for money! Also stylish interior, lots of space, comfy bed.

Note it is not a hotel, so you don't see it easily from the outside, but the instructions were clear and detailed enough to find the property.

Excellent position, great bed, big and cozy. Large fridge, place was super clean, well divided

no elevator, could be a problem for someone else internet connection not optimal, signal was not (or incredibly barely) taken in bedroom, shower not closing properly and sometimes water going outside

it's in a very good location, close to almost all the attractions. metro station is 5 minutes away, bus stop is only a few minutes walk. apartment was very well equipped and comfy.

You couldn't ask for a better location. The apartment is spacious, clean, and has all the amenities. The host Alibek was very polite and accommodating, my fiancé left her kindle ebook in the apartment and Alibek was kind enough to drive to the airport and hand it to us before our flight departed.

Everything went perfect.

Nice and large apartment with bedroom, living room and a small kitchen. Apartment in located in an old building but finishing is good. City center with access to shops and restaurants.

Taxi cabs won't be able to reach entry of the building, so you will have to carry luggage for 200-300 meters until road gate during check-in and check-out.
