Great location, ideal to explore the city. They gave my room before the expected time, it was nice. I had a nice view and it was pretty quiet even though it is right in the center of Edinburgh. The staff at reception were kind and friendly. The breakfast had lots of things, hot and cold. I particularly enjoyed the pancakes. I will stay there again on my next trip.

The carpet in the room. I don’t find it very hygienic, luckily you can ask for slippers at reception.

Location is excellent. Breakfast is simple, but good. Coffee is also good. Beer selection is limited (out of stock).

Wifi connection is VERY BAD. We’re staying in room 116. We couldn’t get wifi connection AT ALL. We have complained to the receptionist, she said she will fix it the next day. But the next day was still the same bad connection. The weird thing was, we went to the pub next door: The Advocate, and we can connect to ibis wifi easily. So this is a matter of the router coverage that doesn’t reach to room 116. In my opinion, it’s better to make sure that every room can connect to the wifi, rather than giving free wifi to ibis’s neighbors.

hotel is well located and scrupulously maintained. The breakfast offered good variety though a bit overpriced.

The room was one of the smallest we have ever encountered; however the bed was comfortable and the design is efficient.

The location was great and there were lots of options for breakfast. The staff were all very nice.

The room was small and you need to provide hand towels. Also the eggs and mushrooms were overly salty.
