Great cozy cottage with friendly hosts!

Lil Rustic Cottage was a lovely Haven to spend some time enjoying the area. Hosts Deb and Wayne were lovely, the type of people who you like instantly 😊

Place was lovely with a historic feel to the place, with an interesting history provided to us by the engaging owner. Close to the Lazy Crab for a nice meal with live music. Close to Lake Clifton for a bit of photography at sunset. Perfect stay!

Deb and Wayne were excellent hosts providing us with treats in the fridge on arrival and a lovely clean cottage. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with everything needed to make our stay so relaxing. The cottage is beautifully decorated with the original stove and floorboards. Highly recommend taking bikes to ride along the estuary too. Highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful staycation.

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at Deb and Wayne's cottage and it was everything we needed. A charming little cottage, very clean, in a fabulous location. Communication with Deb prior to our stay was excellent. We unfortunately didn't meet Deb but Wayne was very helpful and friendly upon our arrival. He went out of his way to help us park a horse float, and then kindly fixed a small problem we had with the float. We were so grateful, and certainly chose the right place to stay. Thank you Deb and Wayne. We will most definitely recommend your cottage to family and friends.

This is an old farmhouse that was built more than 130 years ago. It has been well rejuvenated but the owners have not destroyed the rustic character of the property. Therefore, it is a very pleasant spot to just get away for a break. The hosts were also excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you Deb and Wayne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, a real gem of a cottage. So much character, and so peaceful. Wayne is a friendly, interesting bundle of knowledge. We hope to return next year for a longer stay.

This cottage has been lovingly restored and maintained. It contains every creature comfort; quality linen and crockery. The cottage is a little distance away from the owners' own residence; it is surrounded by lawn, sited in the middle of a large bush block, opposite the estuary. The hosts, Deb and Wayne, were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was a very peaceful break for my elderly mother and I.

My husband and I were looking for a lovely old quiet and serene place to relax and get away from every day life, and this is exactly what we got. The cottage was very comfortable and just perfect in every way, with beautiful scenery of the gardens surrounding us. Thank you Deb and Wayne for our wonderful experience. Deb & Wayne’s cottage did not disappoint. Beautifully presented & well stocked, it’s remote enough to feel like you have gone away yet still close enough to the attractions of Port Bouvard & Mandurah to get out & about if that’s what you want. Highly recommended.

The rustic cottage is full of character, history, and charm. Wayne & Deb have tastefully equipped it with all the comforts of home - such an easy place to settle in and relax. Books to read, tourism brochures to help plan your days, bicycles to ride, and a great location near the estuary, the coast, and towns for shopping.

Perfect place to relax and chill out, very clean and well appointed. A tranquil setting. Hosts Deb and Wayne are lovely people, only too willing to help. We will no doubt be back.

Such a relaxing getaway, highly recomend if you just want to get away from it all, but close to everything if need be. Everything you need at hand and loved the thoughtful touch of added extras for brekky. Table and chairs out on back balcony amongst the trees, listening to all the birds, and spotting the occasional "bunny" a real treat for subdowner. Absolutely loved it!

The cottage was welcoming and cozy and equipped with all that you would need for a stay. It is private and you could be miles away from home yet it is so close to Perth. We enjoyed the rustic charm of the place including the jarrah boards and the old Metters stove. The provision of breakfast supplies was a very nice touch and added to this cottage's value. We also enjoyed watching the rabbits on the back lawn and funnily enough the kookaburras laughing, luckily only briefly at their early hour of the morning! A small BBQ and some easy chairs on the patio would be our only recommendation and we would have given 5 stars. However we loved it and will definitely recommend to others. Thanks Deb and Wayne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely treasure near Dawesville. The cottage is rustic, but neat and comfy. The owners are pleasant and very welcoming. All we needed for our stay was available including a basket of breakfast essentials.
