Location and the room is good.
The bathroom needs a bit of work. The lift room had tiles stuck with silicone, which looked yellow. Also, you have to pay £10 per day for parking!

The staff could not have been more welcoming and they went the extra mile to give it the personal touch. It was outstanding. Everything to recommendations to help round the house, to history of the house was helpful and quaint, whilst still leaving you to your stay. Perfectly pitched. The room was comfortable and clean. I’m so glad I chose this over any of the large chain hotels.
The only tiny things were it would have been nice to have had a long hook / stick to reach the velux window in the bathroom. I was offered to close and open to my comfort but you can only reach the window if you’re really tall. It would have been nice to have had a blind on that velux window in the bathroom as there was no bathroom door (no problem for a single room) but it just let all the light in in the morning, was the only thing. And it would have been nice to have had a harder pillow option as well as the super soft. But they are tiny details…

Parking and location
Pillows and quilt room was in attic and as it was a old building everything was leaning to back of building
4.1
Clean and very welcoming
Nothing all was great.

The bed was excellent the best we have stayed in. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Liked the property - was clean and comfortable
The parking was a faff. Also breakfast was late. We paid for 2 days and didn’t have the second because we had to leave early . It felt like bad value for money

Well appointed rooms, excellent and high quality breakfast, lovely downstairs lounge resembling a traditional English parlor with a bar for hotel guests.
Very tight parking, but this is understandable given the property’s location and age. Also we were unable to open bedroom window for fresh air vs using heating/AC in the room.

It indeed was a lovely hotel
The views were beautiful
Just getting up the hill the first time but after that was fine we'll worth it

lovely stay - lovely staff - nice location - great room

Casey and all the staff were exceptional. Extremely comfortable accommodations and excellent breakfast. Very knowledgeable about the sites to visit and places to eat.
A bit of a walk up the hill from the city center, but very doable.

Aesthetically beautiful and very comfortable.
Not for me specifically, but some rooms were only accessible by stairs. This is, however, advertised before booking so no fault of their own.

Had a lovely time here, staff absolutely fantastic and full English breakfast we couldn’t fault either.
The room and bed was comfy and very clean- only downside to our stay was the tv was broken and when we spoke to a member of staff we was told they knew but forgot to tell us! Sometimes in the evening when you arrive back you want to unwind with the tv or watch the news in the morning whilst getting ready for breakfast!

Had the loft's single room, very cozy and slept like a log.
Breakfast was very good too and staff was lovely.
Took a while to walk

Breakfast was nice, and a veggie option which was good! Staff were lovely, we enjoyed sitting in the lounge in the evenings with a drink
We did think our room would have a bath, but it was just a shower. The water on the Saturday morning was luke warm at best, but it was hot on Sunday morning. The hotel is an old house which meant any noise travelled. Not the hotel’s fault, but a family leaving at 4am woke us up

staff were lovely. upgraded to a lovely room with a four poster bed, balcony and Jacuzzi bath. Very clean. Great breakfast.
Only the long hill to get there. if I was being fussy then the pillows were too thin once you weee using them.

unfortunately the bed (mattress) was really broken, we couldn't sleep.
the broken mattress !

The staff, location and character of the building and interior decor. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The quality of food was excellent and the garden was lovely. Although limited, the parking was a bonus.

Location was great, room was lovely and the bed was comfortable

Very nice suite, extremely clean.
Bed not much comfortable, just a very small bottle of water in the room and very poor to not say zero options for vegans for breakfast. Also, when you book it shows parking space available, but it doesn't state it is £10 per night, you discover there which is not the ideal.

good traditional English breakfast
car park very tight and additional charge. Room in need and of redecoration.

The staff was extremely friendly. The lounge area is quite cozy. It is a 10-15 walk into Bath which is quite convenient.
Breakfast was good but not great.

Interesting place and good breakfast albeit some staff a bit random / on autopilot.
Had to check out earlier than other hotels make breakfast available too, so on that basis unlikely to stop there again.
Later check out to a reasonable time of day day 11:30. Replace the mattress the springs were through on our room.

Old, poorly maintained, poorly cleaned, no temp control, heating several hours in the evening only. Poor to neutral service. Average breakfast.

We were there winter, mid-week, only guest and received a room upgrade to a room with a four-poster bed and balcony. It was so comfortable we didn't get nearly as much sightseeing done as we had hoped. Great place to relax in comfort. We'd go back in an instant.
The entrance to the car park is a bit dicey with traffic, but that would also represent most of the properties in the UK.
